Dalto Ref (Commission)
Added 2025-11-29 17:48:15 +0000 UTCI had the honor of designing Dalto's first sona! They wanted a blush deer that gave off cozy vibes! There is a lot of process since we were designing the sona from scratch.
Firstly you have body type explorations. We knew he was going to be plush, so I explored different shapes and sizes that all give a plush vibe. He liked A and F and wanted to combine them!
From there I just gave him three options for how big he wanted his default size to be! He kept with A so there was room to grow!
Next it was time to explore the head! There are many shapes a chubby deer head could take, so I wanted to make sure we went in the direction he wanted! He loved B but liked the nose shape and hair of J.
From there we just wanted to test if he should have a beard or not! He decided against it!
Next was concepting the layout of the ref sheet! He wanted to have a pose showing off how cozy he was, one being teased, and lastly one showing off him decorating his horns!
He combined aspects of all three to come up with the final layout of the ref!
Then I simply cleaned it up! We decided his color swatches would be waffles!
Lastly was figuring out colors! Initially he wanted to have pink hair! But after seeing these he wanted to try something more earthy.
Then looking at these he liked A! He loved the warm caramel look of it!
All that was left was to clean it up! Here is the final!

Oh my ! What a real cute deer ! I love the decorations of the antlers on it, it reminds me a lot of how Sawsbuck's antlers works in Pokémon Black and White with the seasonal feature ! ❄️🌸🌿🍁
