2020-02-26 00:52:27 +0000 UTCThe problem is Saitama was in the right, if not for him they would of all died and the damage would of been far worse, he avoided the worst case scenario and the pay off was it cost just one city but the people all survived, in this show you will see how selfish we as humans can be! and how corrupt a lot of the so called heroes are! so despite all the comedy there are quite a lot of meaning full moments and words of wisdom, it's what makes it so good!

2020-02-22 01:02:48 +0000 UTCThe show is definitely funny and full of laughs, but it has a serious side. The actual characters and mentality of someone like Saitama is actually a bit sad. You can tell he is depressed and feels empty, and despite trying to do all he can, it's never enough. I think this show *can* be taken seriously and have deep thoughts. It should, honestly.

2020-02-22 00:42:25 +0000 UTCIf you noticed, he didn't just say 'I'm just a guy who's a hero for fun' this time, but 'I'm a hero'. I don't think 'Don't take this seriously' is the right way to take this show. For sure take villains and power systems as jokes, but the characters are all still characters. Saitama is absolutely more nuanced than he seems from his design and the way he treats the world. He's a guy way too strong for his own good who has lost all of the joy in what he wants to do most. He's legitimately depressed and is constantly being let down and that's why he can't seem to take anything seriously. He does care, he's just constantly disappointed by life
