And to your question about why the founding titan didn't help Grisha when he begged, it's because the first king in the wall decided to not fight against forces outside the wall no matter what, and he wanted to let all people inside the walls to die, because he really thought the titan power is evil and all Eldians should disappear from the world. Building the wall is just a mercy act to let his people enjoy some peace as long as it can last. But when the war comes from outside the walls, he'll just watch his people die.

I really love that moment where Eren leaves the Titan alone. Throughout the entirety of the series, his singular drive is to kill every last Titan. Now, they finally have killed every single one... except one. Eren, now knowing that every single Titan was not only a human but also one of his own race, decides to leave it alone.

Armin and Mikasa sharing that brief moment of happiness is so goddamned cute, these characters have known nothing but fear and death pretty much their whole lives. I can't even blame Eren for crashing the mood though. He was dealt the mother of all spoilers thanks to the Coordinate and memories of Grisha, on top of which he keeps thinking about the horrible shit done by Marley. I do wonder - Eren(Kruger) said that the Attack Titan is a power that always seeks out freedom. It's likely part of why Eren keeps focusing on Marley and the cycle of revenge. Even if it is possible and they decisively defeat Marley+the world within Eren's remaining 8 years(unless they find a way around that), would that power even let him rest or be satisfied? I'm sure that will come up before the end.
