Ch.21 I Was Bullied So Hard I Was Isekai'ed Into A World of Sword And Magic And Emerged As The Lightning Samurai God To Hatefuck My Former Bully Until She Got Heart Eyes

— Eris Boreas Greyrat —

Eris’ eyes blinked open as she looked up at the side of the earth dome they had slept in. Memories of the previous day filled her mind and she couldn’t stop a frown from forming.

Just yesterday she had been going about life as normal, living her everyday life as a proud member of the Boreas Greyrat Family. Until around midday when everything changed. The day was clear, yet it had turned to a disaster very fast. One second she was staring at Ghislaine and Rudeus as they made their way over to her, the next she was waking up on a mountain.

All her life she had wanted nothing more than to become an Adventurer. The thought of going on adventures and slaying monsters was the best thing Eris could possibly imagine! Yet… Eris didn’t know how it could be being away from her family.

Eris missed her parents and grandfather dearly. She wanted to be held in their arms again, to be told that everything was okay now and that they’d always be there for her. Her drive to become an adventurer hadn’t died down, but she just wished that she could have some peace of mind in this disaster.

Eris attempted to get up but felt something holding her down. She raised a brow and turned around to see Law behind her with his arms wrapped around her waist and stomach.

Her eyes widened as her face lit up and she wriggled herself out of his grip and kicked him in the face.

“Mngh!” Law groaned as her boot dug into his face she crawled backward until her back was against the dome and pointed at him accusingly.

“W-What the h-hell were you d-doing?!” Eris stuttered out as Law rubbed his pained face. His hands glowed green before he pulled them away and looked at her with anger filled eyes.

“What was I doing…?! What the fuck were you doing?! Why the hell did you kick me?!”

“You were too close!” She stood up and crossed her arms over her chest. There was no good explanation in her mind for why he could have pressed himself against her like that!

“I knew the fire was going to die down while we slept and wanted to keep both of us alive!” Law argued before rubbing his temples in an attempt to calm himself down.

That… was a good reason. Eris had to admit that much to herself. Eris’ eyes widened as she found an area of weakness in his story that made no sense!

“Why wouldn’t you just restart the fire then?!” It didn’t make sense why he couldn’t just make another fireball and reignite the campfire!

“Eris, let me give you a little lesson on campfires. To start them, you need two things, fuel, and air. Without both, a fire will die. So tell me Eris, where do you see fuel?” Law asked as he gestured to the burnt out campfire.

Eris turned her head away as her face grew even more red. “… There is none.”

“Oh wow! How odd!” Law placed his hand on his cheeks and looked at the burnt fuel with wide eyes. “I wonder how that could have happened!”

“Okay, I get it, I was wrong, I’m sorry!” Eris crossed her arms and turned her body away a bit to further hide her blushing face. She had thought Law was just being a pervert like his brother. Even her father had said that Law was unusual for a Greyrat with how reserved he was around women, so she thought that maybe something had awakened in him after what happened yesterday.

“Whatever, just don’t do it again. You wouldn’t like it if I drop kicked you in your sleep would you?” Law crossed his arms and frowned.

“I didn’t even drop kick you!” Eris argued.

“Oh, sorry, I couldn’t tell how you kicked me… considering I was sleeping!” Law sighed and stood up. “But sure, all is forgiven.”

Eris remained looking away as Law walked over to a small stone capsule he made. He opened it to reveal leftovers of the rabbit they had eaten the night before.

“Eat, we’re going to move soon.” Law ordered and she slowly turned around to see him offering her a small portion. There wasn’t much of the rabbit left, but it would be enough to fill them for a little over a few hours.

The two sat back down and ate in silence after Law heated up the meat with a fireball in his hand. They didn’t have fuel but that didn’t stop him from producing the fire and fueling it with his own mana while he focused on it.

Once the two had finished eating and drinking a couple cups of water, Law walked over to the capsule he had stored the food in and slowly began to alter it. Eris watched in quiet fascination as the capsule was morphed into the shape of a sword. Once Law was finished, he walked back over to her and handed her his creation.

“Here, we’re probably gonna come across some trouble sooner or later, and even if we don’t, better safe than sorry.” Law explained as Eris took the stone sword and inspected it. It was heavy, heavier than the wooden swords she used for practice. She bounced the blade in her hands a few times, familiarizing herself with the blade as Ghislaine had told her to do whenever she found a new weapon in her hands.

“Thank you.” Eris spoke quietly and Law nodded before walking out of the dome. Eris watched his retreating form for a while before she stood up with the sword in hand and followed him.

“Where are you going?” She asked the bright morning sun beat down on them. Law came to a stop and turned around. He raised a brow at her and waved his hand, dropping the dome of earth back into the ground.

“We’re moving, we failed to find a place to stay last night, but we shouldn’t make the same mistake again. The fact that we didn’t run into any trouble shows how lucky we were.” Law answered professionally, similar to how he would talk to her father when he was reporting something.

“Trouble?” The confused girl asked.

“Monsters, stray dragons, bandits, nasty weather…” Law trailed off. “This place seems to be relatively calm, and I’m not too surprised a dragon didn’t make an appearance, but I would be surprised if we don’t come across a group of bandits.” Law shrugged.

“Why would bandits attack us? We don’t have anything.” Eris frowned.

“They don’t know that. To make it worse you’re wearing a really fancy dress, so they will correctly assume you're a rich girl, unaware of your current lack of funds.” Law said as he started walking toward the road. Eris followed after him with a thoughtful expression on her face. She hadn’t thought about it like that. Bandits sounded annoying though. They couldn’t get anything through their own hard work so they needed to steal from others. Her parents had seen bandits as nothing more than filth and she felt the same.

Upon reaching the road, they continued in the direction they had spent a great deal of the previous day walking down.

As they walked, Eris fell into her own mind about how her family would react to seeing her and Law return home! Sure they may not be home immediately, but when they arrived back, they’d see Law and Eris standing there, waiting with bright smiles.

Her mother would hug her and promise to never let her go while her father would squeeze them both and tell Eris how proud he is. He’d allow her to do whatever she wanted and even go out and become an Adventurer! All the while her grandfather would laugh at how reliable she had become.

Eris nodded to herself, it was only a matter of time before her little daydream was her reality, and when it was, she’d do everything she ever wanted to do!

Eris side eyed the boy who was walking beside her and her cheeks became rosy. After staying with her family for a while, she’d set out with Law to meet his family, and then she’d drag him along to become an Adventurer with her! That way he wouldn’t have to leave to go to that stupid magic school!

They’d go on adventures together, kill monsters, eat exotic foods, and be known worldwide as the strongest adventurers the world had to offer!

Then…

Eris’ blush grew stronger as she remembered her father’s words. Once they enjoyed their time as adventurers… they would return back home and marry. They’d start a family and do their duty as the Lord and Lady of the Boreas Greyrat Head Family.

That was her ideal future, one that she would welcome with open arms, and as she glanced at Law, she hoped he would come to feel the same way.

— Law Greyrat —

I never hated the sun until today. Don’t get me wrong, there were times in my life where I looked up at the sun and asked it to stop shining down on me so hard, but usually I had the option of just going into shade. Now… I didn’t have that same luxury.

Stopping was not an option and while the temperature of our location wasn’t super hot, the sun was like a burning furnace in the sky that beat down on us. A constant deterrent that couldn’t be forgotten as we continued walking.

I had half a mind to activate my Battle Aura just so I wouldn’t be so affected, but the increased perception I would gain would make this walk feel so much longer.

“I’m not going crazy right? This sun is a problem.” I spoke up and Eris nodded.

“It’s annoying, how much further?”

“I have no idea.” I admitted as we continued walking down the road. “It shouldn’t be much longer.”

We had spent hours walking the previous day and another couple of hours today. I was so tired of being in the wilderness that I was tempted to pick up Eris and just sprint as fast as I could. I suddenly stopped walking and facepalmed. Eris stopped and looked at me with a raised brow.

Why the hell don’t I do that? We’re not in danger of dragon attacks anymore so I could hold her in a princess carry and just run max speed. There aren’t any threats that could stop us either, I highly doubt a bandit would have awakened their Battle Aura, and even if they have, I could just run rather than fight.

“What’s wrong, Law?” Eris asked as I nodded to myself.

“Nothing, in fact I realized something that will help-”

In a sudden moment my Battle Aura activated as I stared off at the distant plains.

“Law?” Eris frowned and followed my eyes. I could have sworn I saw movement

in the tall grass.

I stared at the grass long and hard before raising my hand. “Get ready for a fight, Eris.” I warned her and she tightened her grip around the hilt of her stone blade.

A Water Ball formed in my hand and I fed it more and more mana before unleashing it toward where I saw the movement earlier.

My eyes narrowed as a man shot up and dodged around the large water ball. It exploded behind him as he ran toward us. In that moment, a group of men and even a couple women jumped up and charged toward us. I counted eight of them. Six men, two women.

One of the women stopped and pointed a cheap looking wand at us.

“A mage!” I growled as I unsheathed my blade and kept my eyes locked on the group rushing us. I considered rushing them, but just because they were bandits, I didn’t know if I should underestimate them and leave Eris to defend herself.

The first of the men reached us, it was a large bald man that wielded a hammer. As he launched his hammer down at me, I got a whiff of his scent and practically gagged from how bad he smelt. I dodged his strike and realized he was slow. I narrowed my eyes and slashed my blade upward, cutting off his hammer wielding hand.

“Aaagrhhh!” The man shouted in pain as he dropped to his knees. I blocked the next man’s attack, a lengthy swordsman and kicked him away hard. I felt his ribs collapse under the force of my kick and realized these guys were fodder. Better safe than sorry though.

“You bastard!” The next man shouted and before he could attack me, the mage woman’s wand shined as a lance of fire sparked to life and launched at us.

Intermediate fire magic…

“Eris, let’s go on the offensive!” I ordered and got a slightly nervous grin from her.

“Got it!” She answered as she launched toward the man who was going to attack me. I watched in quiet fascination as she cut through the man’s body, splitting him in half before rushing the next.

This girl… may be a psychopath.

My eyes narrowed at the mage. I noticed the other woman was standing next to her holding the man I had kicked back. Tears spilled out of her eyes as I watched her try and heal him with her magic. The mage looked at the two before glaring at me and preparing to launch another spell. I wasn’t going to allow that though.

I launched forward, easily slicing off another man’s hand as he tried to strike me, then moving past him to take on a man who watched me approach him with fear in his eyes. Seeing his hesitation to fight, I jumped up and hit his head with the pommel of my blade, knocking him out.

I watched as the other two men threw their weapons and dropped to the ground. They prostrated before us just in time to spare their lives. I was sure Eris was dead set on cutting through them.

I listened to the injured men screaming in pain while the one woman let out loud sobs as she held the hurt man.

I could feel my resolve shaking at the sight… we looked like the bad guys here, but I knew we weren’t. I had to remind myself that they were the bandits that would have tried to take everything we had, or likely kidnapped us to do whatever they wanted,

They were scum and they weren’t worth feeling sorry for. I glared at them before looking toward Eris.

“We’re leaving.” I said quietly but it was loud enough for those who weren’t either dead or screaming in pain to hear.

“Huh, aren’t we going to finish them off?!” Eris stared at me with wide eyes. I could see her anger was setting in. She must hate bandits more than I thought. I don’t blame her after her kidnapping.

“We whittled their numbers down and crippled most of them, they can’t continue being bandits like this.” I narrowed my eyes at them and most averted their gazes. “To all of you scum, maybe use this second chance at life to do something productive with your lives-”

“Fuck you…” The woman who had been attempting to heal the man whispered as she placed him down and stood up. I looked at her before looking at the man and my lips twitched downward a tad at the sight of his unmoving body. “You… killed him. How fucking dare you?!”

“Do you really think I believe that you wouldn’t have done the same thing if we lost this encounter?!” Her eyes remained narrowed and I could see pure rage in them. Her feelings concerning me were clear, she wanted me dead, she wanted revenge. “This was a choice you all made, now live with the consequences… or rush me and don’t, I honestly couldn’t care less anymore.” I met her glare with one of my own.

This bitch is really trying to take the moral high ground with me?! Like she didn’t just try to attack two kids with a group of eight full grown adults?!

“See, they’re not worth keeping alive, Law, let’s just kill them!” Eris demanded and I shot my glare in her direction. Eris went quiet as I looked away from her and stared at the group of crippled, dead, or angry/fearful bandits.

“We’re leaving.” I said one last time before I turned around and began to walk back toward the road. Eris stayed in the same place for a few seconds before narrowing her eyes at them and following me.

The bandits gave us no more trouble as we made our way back to the road.

“Why did you spare-” Before Eris could finish her question I scooped her up in a princess carry and sprinted down the road as fast as I could.

The wind blowing past us at incredible speeds made talking an impossibility for her which was exactly what I wanted.

As I ran I thought about the confrontation. I had done everything I could to spare their lives and when I accidentally kill one, I was labeled the bad guy… how the fuck does that make any sense?

I could tell I was going to remember that woman’s face for a long time. I didn’t know what the man I killed was to her, but I knew her hatred for me ran deep, deep enough to the point that she would remember me for the rest of her life.

Yet I knew I was right, morality was on my side, and I’d be damned if I let a fucking bandit make me feel bad!

My eyes narrowed through the powerful breeze. Getting Eris was my main concern, and I will kill or cripple anyone who gets in the way of that.

—Rudeus Greyrat —

“My instincts have never led me astray, that guy is bad news, move!” Ghislaine said with cold eyes. She was dead set on killing Ruijerd! Rudeus looked at Ghislaine with wide eyes of shock. Her fears were based on nothing else but her instincts?!

“Ghislaine, I’m telling you you’re wrong! He found us and kept us safe while we were sleeping! Please think about this logically!”

“Rudeus, I said out of my way!” Ghislaine growled but Rudeus remained unmoving. He knew it was impossible to explain things to someone who didn’t want to listen, but he knew Ghislaine as someone who was willing to learn. She came to all of his classes for Eris and made a serious attempt to absorb knowledge! He knew she wasn’t a lost cause, so he’d keep trying!

“Think about it, Ghislaine! If Ruijerd wanted to kill us, why wouldn’t he have done it while we were sleeping?!” Rudeus asked and he watched as Ghislaine’s eyes widened for a moment. “Even now he could run his spear through me and end my life but look at him.” Rudeus gestured to the demon who’s stance was completely defensive. “What purpose would it serve to remain so passive if killing us was his goal?!”

Ghislaine remained quiet as her eyes narrowed. She looked Ruijerd up and down with hate filled eyes, then looked at Rudeus to see his face was still determined.

Rudeus was sure of what he thought, and he just needed Ghislaine to see things that way as well.

The beast woman bit her lip and closed her eyes as she sheathed her blade and stood up fully, getting out of her stance.

“I don’t trust him.” Ghislaine opened her eyes and narrowed them at Ruijerd before she looked at Rudeus and her eyes lost their hate. “I’ll listen to you… for now, but if he gives me a reason, I’ll kill him.”

“Those terms are agreeable.” Rudeus let out a breath of relief. “Right, Ruijerd?” The Superd stayed quiet but nodded once, filling Rudeus’ heart with a sense of calm. Things could have ended up much worse than they had. “Then let’s sit back down now that we’re calm.”

Ruijerd slowly dropped to a sitting position while Ghislaine stood and glared at him. When Rudeus sat, Ghislaine eventually did the same. The three of them sat in awkward silence before Ruijerd spoke up.

“You’re powerful, and your skills are well honed. Your battle prowess should be more than suitable to get you and this child back home.”

Rudeus frowned at that. “Yes, Ghislaine is skilled, she’s a Sword King! But… she’s not really the best at navigating places.” Rudeus offered the woman an apologetic smile but she just shrugged, unaffected by his words. He spoke nothing but the truth after all.

“You need a guide then.” Ruijerd whispered more so to himself.

Both Rudeus and Ghislaine stayed quiet as Ruijerd thought to himself. Eventually he looked at the both of them and gave a determined nod. “I will see this child back home safely.”

Rudeus and Ghislaine shared a look and Rudy could tell that she wasn’t too happy about the arrangement, but Ruijerd was their best hope. The Demon Continent was full of wicked and nasty things that neither of them had seen or experienced. Ruijerd was their best bet.

“Thank you, your help would be greatly appreciated! But… are you sure?” Rudeus asked slowly. He didn’t want Ruijerd to go so far out of his way on a journey that would likely end up taking a year or more, just out of the kindness of his heart.

“I am. What kind of warrior or man would I be if I left a child stranded in these accursed lands?” Ruijerd frowned. “Both of you should rest, we’ll set out when the sun returns.”

Rudeus nodded slowly before laying down. He looked over to Ghislaine to see she hadn’t budged an inch. Rudeus gave her a questioning look and she just shrugged so she likely wasn’t tired.

As Rudeus laid back and looked at the night sky, the realization of his situation fully hit him. He had been teleported to the other side of the world, in a land filled with vicious monsters that would go out of their way to kill him.

All his life… he just wanted to enjoy the second chance he had gotten. He lived day after day, progressing his skills and learning new things, but he never really had a goal.

His mind thought back to his family, the same one he hadn’t seen in years.

How would they react when they heard of Rudeus’ disappearance? Could the same thing have happened to Law and Eris, or were they alright? Those thoughts plagued his mind as he closed his eyes. He didn’t know the answers to the questions he asked himself, but he knew that pondering them would change nothing.

Right now, he had to focus on his own survival, his draw was good with a Sword King like Ghislaine on his side, and even a powerful demon with skills good enough to defend against Ghislaine’s attacks. His companions filled him with relief of what was to come, but he knew that things would still be hard and that it would take a long time before he could see his family again.

An image of Law filled Rudeus' mind and the older boy placed his hand on his heart. Law… the same boy who had helped him conquer his fear of the outside world… his little brother.

They hadn’t ever been separated since their births. Everyday they had seen each other at least once, but often much more than that.

Now… Rudeus didn’t know when he’d see his brother again.

As Rudeus reopened his eyes and peered into the bright night sky filled with stars and the mysticism of the universe, an odd sense of calm washed over him. He would see his brother again. He knew he would. With that thought, Rudeus closed his eyes one last time and let himself fall into his dreams.

Getting with a woman who has slept with your father is just kinda odd.

Kakukami

Lmaoo what the fuck?? What you mean he’s not getting with Ghislaine, that’s lame.

Donte

Boo! Love Ghislaine! She’s the hottest girl there!

SaffireSpirit13

Nah, Rudy ain’t keeping all three and Law isn’t getting with Ghislaine.

Kakukami

What's the pairing so far in this story? Is it Law and Ghislaine while Rudeus is with his 3 girls from the original story

Robert Hernandez

Hmm… Law is a good kid. I still think he should’ve killed them all. Anyone who would attack literal children, especially one who isn’t even 10 years old yet doesn’t deserve a free pass. I also get why he didn’t kill them, no one wants to be the bad guy and when you’re the stronger party in this instance with those clearly weaker than yourself cursing and hating you… well it’s essentially bullying. It makes sense Law doesn’t want to stomp them while they’re down, he’s been a victim too many times to ever just be ruthless. He has too much empathy from his previous life, because why would you ever want to subject others to your own experience’s. Anyway thanks for the Chapter. I enjoyed it!
