Ch.12 I Was Bullied So Hard I Was Isekai'ed Into A World of Sword And Magic And Emerged As The Lightning Samurai God To Hatefuck My Former Bully Until She Got Heart Eyes

— Law Greyrat —

As the wagon started moving, both Rudy and I looked out the window to see Paul and Lilia waving to us while Zenith cried in her husband’s arms.

I hope we don’t come to regret this decision.

I doubted we would, and I knew this was the worst we would feel. Once we were settled and adjusted to our jobs, life wouldn’t feel as empty as it does now.

“Both of you are Saint Level in Water Magic, right?” Ghislaine asked, earning our attention. Both of us stared at the beastwoman and admired just how large she was, especially in this wagon.

“Yes.” Rudeus answered for us as his eyes dropped back to her barely covered breasts.

“Hm, you both like staring at them.” Ghislaine said blankly, and both Rudeus and I started sweating bullets. “You are both definitely Paul’s boys.”

““We’re so sorry!”” Both of us lowered our heads.

“Or maybe not.” Ghislaine blinked her one visible eye. “Too polite to be his kids.”

Both Rudy and I glanced at each other with wry smiles.

Being compared to Paul… wasn’t a compliment. Especially not in regards to women.

Don’t get me wrong, the guy was a flirt and knew how to dig his claws in both a woman’s heart and pants, but he was also a sexual deviant.

Lilia had told us the story about how he had practically raped her in her sleep, actually… I’m gonna call it what it is, he did rape her, although she doesn’t hold any ill will toward him for it.

Doesn’t make him any less shitty for it.

“And quiet too, Zenith’s blood is stronger than Paul’s,” Ghislaine observed us with a hum of approval.

“You’re a Sword King, right?” I asked, trying to engage in a conversation with the woman.

“Yup, been one for years.”

“Then… if I may, why was our father the leader of your adventuring group if you are stronger?” I crossed my arms over my chest and tilted my head. I think I have a good idea as to why, but it didn’t hurt to prod on their past a bit.

“I may have been stronger, but I didn’t do leading.” Ghislaine intertwined her fingers. “Paul was good at it, telling people where to go, and he wasn’t half bad at fighting either. The others respected him, and so did I… except Geese, those two never got along.”

That didn’t really give me as much as I wanted.

“Huh? Why?” Rudeus asked and Ghislaine glanced at him for a moment with more fond eyes.

“You’re older, but you have Zenith’s face, I think I like you more.” Ghislaine smiled a bit at Rudeus.

Okay… how the fuck was I supposed to take that?!

“Thank you.” Rudeus accepted her words with ease. “But I assure you, Law doesn’t take much after Paul.”

“I bet, looks like him though.” Ghislaine shrugged.

It was really odd how Rudy took Zenith’s face but Paul’s hair and eye color, while I took Paul’s face but Zenith’s hair and eye color.

Both of us were just two opposite mixes of our parents.

“To answer your question though.” Ghislaine crossed her arms under her bust, pushing the two large mounds up and drawing our eyes to them like moths to a flame. “Paul was better with his cock than he was with a blade and usually got himself in trouble because of it.”

Both Rudy and I blinked at her crass language and the way she was speaking to us, considering we’re kids, but beyond that we didn’t really think much of it.

“So Geese didn’t like him because he likes women too much?” Rudy raised a brow.

“No, Geese didn’t like Paul at all; I can’t remember a time when the two got along.” The beastwoman ran her thumb under her bottom lip as her eyes narrowed. “Though liking women certainly didn’t help him. He constantly sulked that with Paul around the only woman he had a chance with was Einalise. But then she isn’t hard to fuck.”

Yeah, that sounds about right—wait what the fuck did she just say?!

Elinalise… that was the elf woman that was in their party, what does Ghislaine mean when she says that Elinalise wasn’t hard to fuck?

… I have a feeling Paul left out some important details regarding his old party. I would have to remember to pick Ghislaine’s brain for any and all information she had regarding Paul and their old group.

“Enough about that.” Ghislaine shook her head. “What has Paul told you about your work?”

“Nothing,” I answered, earning a blank look from her.

“Hm, he hasn’t changed.” Ghislaine looked down in thought. “Lord Phillip will interview you, and if he deems you worthy, you enter his employ.”

Rudy and I shared a look with focused eyes. Neither of us missed that there was a chance we wouldn’t be deemed worthy.

We need this job, and I need it even more than Rudy. Sure, there probably aren’t many more high-paying jobs like this that we can get this easily, but that wasn’t the only thing that made this job so valuable.

Ghislaine, a Sword King, is employed by our future employer, and Paul must have taken that into consideration when he got us this opportunity.

She is likely to be my future master in furthering my skill with the blade, and losing this chance could greatly detriment my potential.

“Do you think he’ll hire us?” I asked, trying to learn as much as I could before it was too late.

“Dunno.” Ghislaine looked at her long nails with disinterest. “Should be fine, if you’re both as good as Paul said you are.”

That made both Rudeus and I let out relieved sighs.

Not only were we as “good” as Paul said we are—we’re better.

Wordless magic made us as bullshit as our mana pools allowed.

For the remainder of the trip we shared some idle conversation with Ghislaine, though honestly she wasn’t much of a talker. Eventually after about a full day and night of riding, we managed to reach the home of the Boreas Greyrat family.

The Citadel of Roa was very beautiful and captivating to both Rudeus and I. Both of our eyes were scanning the place as we rode through.

Being born basically in the middle of nowhere didn’t allow us to see much of what this world had to offer, and now that we could, we wanted nothing more than to explore!

The wagon eventually came to a halt at a large gate.

Knights surrounded the wagon and spoke to our driver before moving aside and letting us through.

As the wagon moved through the gates I stared dumbly at the massive mansion that could be none other than the Boreas Greyrat family home!

“It’s so big!” I eyed it, inspecting every bit I could see. Who the hell would need a house this big? Especially in a medieval style world like this.

“That’s what she said.” Rudeus laughed.

I gave Rudeus the stink eye for such a childish comment, Rudeus only smirked.

I looked back at the home in front of us. It just seemed overly lascivious, but considering they had a poor kid like me fawning over their home, maybe they desired the envy and jealousy of others?

The wagon stopped and Ghislaine slowly opened her eyes and pushed herself up.

“We’re here, get out.” She said, and while I don’t think she meant it as an order, it came out as one.

“Alright.” Rudeus nodded. She went out first and then Rudy, then I.

Now that we were outside, we could more clearly view the mansion, and it was every bit as extravagant as it looked before.

We all moved forward, following behind the beastwoman as we made our way through the front yard that was decorated with perfectly trimmed bushes and many different kinds of flowers.

Eventually Ghislaine stopped and both Rudy and I narrowed our eyes at the large black haired man who was slouched over as if he had a back problem.

“It is a pleasure to welcome you back, Sword King Ghislaine.” The man bowed a bit while the beastwoman looked unimpressed.

“I’m taking them to see Lord Phillip.” She said and passed him before he could utter another word.

Rudeus and I gave wry smiles and bowed our heads at the man as we passed him and followed after the very strong woman.

I guess when you get strong enough you can just disrespect others without any real worry. Without power, no one can do shit to those with it.

As we entered the mansion, it became clear that the grand style of the place wasn’t just meant for the outside. The interior was decorated beautifully, and there were beastwomen servants moving around all throughout the place.

Another flex of wealth I suppose.

We walked through the place and up some stairs and eventually Ghislaine stopped in front of a door and knocked.

“Enter.” The soft voice of a man came from the other side and Ghislaine wasted no time opening the door.

As we stepped in, the man turned to us with an expressionless face.

Brown hair, closed eyes and a handsome face. The man radiated a calm presence, as if he couldn’t be touched, but a part of me warned that his calmness wasn’t without reason.

He’s got a Sword King guarding him after all.

“I’ve brought them, Lord Phillip.” Ghislaine said before stepping aside so he could get a good look at us. His eyes opened and interested red eyes locked onto us.

Both Rudeus and I shared a nervous look before Rudy stepped forward and bowed.

“It is a pleasure to meet you, Lord Philip.”

“That’s wrong.” Philip suddenly said, which made both of us freeze.

“Pardon?” Rudeus asked.

“A nobleman’s bow is not done so rigidly, there must be grace to it. You must extend your arm down diagonally while slightly lowering yourself like so.” The man explained as he showed us what he meant.

Both Rudeus and I blinked at his demonstration and his silence made us realize that he wanted both of us to do it like he did.

Both of us tried our best to mimic his bow and a small smile came to his lips.

“Much better, good enough for the first try. Yes, you both shall do for now.”

I didn’t like the odd glint in his eye when he said that, as if he knew something we didn’t.

“What has Paul explained?” Lord Phillip asked as he sat down in a small, comfy looking chair. He gestured for us to do the same and we heeded his silent command, taking a seat in the two chairs in front of him.

“Nothing really, just that he’d find us work… Lord Philip.” I explained slowly.

Phillip’s smile faltered for a moment before it returned like it had never left.

“I see, it would appear Paul is no different since we last spoke, my cousin has never been one for disclosing important matters.” Lord Philip paused as he placed a hand on his chin. “No matter, your father asked me to help you both attain work, and I am very willing should Paul’s word of your skill be true.”

“I assure you, it is, Lord Philip.” Rudeus leaned back in the chair.

“Yes, and I do not doubt that.” Philip’s smile grew as the door to the room opened again and in came that same guy Ghislaine passed earlier. He walked in with a tea set and placed it on the table in front of us. He put down three cups and poured each of us a cup, minus Ghislaine, before bowing and stepping to stand behind Phillip.

“With your skills in mind, I have already arranged your positions.” The brown-haired man stirred his tea before taking a sip.

I straightened up at that and listened more closely.

“Ghislaine is a great bodyguard of ours, and beloved by everyone in the family. Her strength has earned our respect, but as strong as she is, she cannot be everywhere at once.” Philip paused to take a long sip of his tea. “Which is why I wish to hire a personal bodyguard for my little girl, Eris. I believe you will fit that role perfectly.”

I didn’t miss the amused glint in the man’s eyes as he stared deep into mine.

“Five years old and already Advanced in all three Sword Styles. Your potential is unmatched, and I’m sure with time you’ll exceed the high expectations we have set for you, Law Greyrat.”

“I appreciate your kind words, Lord Philip.” I lowered my head a bit and picked up the tea the butler had poured for us.

“Yes yes, my daughter means the world to me you see, and I aim to ensure she has all the tools to become the best woman she can be. Which leads to your role, Rudeus Greyrat.”

Rudy narrowed his eyes at Philip who leaned his head onto his palm as he continued to stir his tea.

“My daughter is in need of a magic tutor, and a regular tutor. Learning the basics of magic would do her good, but skills like reading, writing, and math are necessities that cannot go unlearned. Although, I’m afraid my dear Eris has no interest in these things.”

So she’s a brat, got it.

“I can understand how those topics can be… off putting to a child.” Rudeus nodded understandingly. “I believe I can help her.”

“Oh, how I love your confidence!” Philip clapped and stood up with his tea in hand. “Then shall we go say hello to my little girl?”

… Why do I feel like he’s leading us to certain doom?

“Yes, please lead the way.” Rudeus grinned and I side eyed him with worry.

Does he… not see the signs?!

Honestly, knowing him, he sees them, but just couldn’t give less of a fuck.

Hopefully it doesn’t come back to bite us in the ass.

Philip walked out of the room and we followed behind him with Ghislaine trailing us.

As we walked, I marveled at how many beastwomen we passed. It was like this place was a damn breeding ground for them or something!

Maybe the family has a thing for them? Ghislaine is a beastwomen as well and Philip said that she’s loved by the family.

Eh, to each their own.

We stopped in front of a room and Philip gave a couple knocks before opening the door.

“Eris, dear, I brought you a new tutor and bodyguard~” Philip sing-songed and as he walked into the room, I locked onto the little girl’s back.

The girl had deep red hair, even redder than Lilia’s with a certain wildness to it, and as she turned around to face us, intense narrowed eyes locked with ours. ‘Ah she is one of those.’

Philip gestured us to go forward and so we did. We walked toward the fiery girl and stopped a few feet away from her.

“It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lady Eris, my name is Rudeus Greyrat and I will be your magical-“

“I don’t like him!” Eris shouted suddenly, cutting Rudy off.

“… Your magical tutor from this day forward.” Rudeus continued, hiding his annoyance behind a friendly facade.

I knew my brother better though, he was definitely fuming at the blatant disrespect.

“Did you not hear me?! You should respect those older than you!” Eris crossed her arms and looked down at Rudeus. She was definitely older than us, her being taller than us made that clear.

“You being older than me has nothing to do-” Rudeus started just before Eris swung her palm out in an attempt to strike him. Thankfully I managed to react fast enough and I caught her hand before she could hit Rudy.

I glanced back at Philip as I held her wrist, trying to gauge the man’s feelings on the current situation. The man was no longer smiling, but his gaze wasn’t exactly stern yet.

His daughter is a brat, and I need to see how far I can go without costing myself this job.

Eris’ eyes widened as she looked at me, and I frowned deeply as I spoke to the girl for the first time.

“My brother was talking to you with respect yet you tried to slap him for it. Stop being such an unruly brat and think before you act.” I scolded her with a stern gaze.

Eris’ surprise quickly turned into anger, and then into violent rage.

She tried to fight her wrist out of my grip and upon realizing that wasn’t going to work, she threw a punch at my face with her other hand.

It was slow, sloppy, and completely fueled by her careless rage.

I evaded it by slipping around her with my hand still gripping her wrist so I was behind her and gave her legs a little sweep that made her drop down onto her stomach.

I held her hand behind her back to keep her pinned down and glared at the feisty and incredibly spoiled child.

“Since we have arrived we’ve tried to show you nothing but respect, yet you have not only disregarded our kindness, but also tried to harm my brother. So here’s what’s going to happen. You’re gonna stay down on your stomach until Rudeus is done with his introduction, and when I let you go, you’re gonna show him the same level of respect he has given you. Are we clear?”

Eris continued to fight against me, so I squeezed her wrist a bit harder, making her let out a low grunt in pain.

“I asked you a question. Are. We. Clear?

She grit her teeth and looked up at Rudeus who looked worried about what I was doing. The more time that passed, the less she fought, and eventually she stopped fighting entirely and nodded her head.

I didn’t want to push her for a vocal answer as that would just be unnecessarily holding power over her, so I loosened my grip a bit on her wrist, making her body relax a bit beneath me.

I looked up at Rudeus and he gave me a thankful smile before continuing.

“Where was I? I guess I’ll start from the beginning. My name is Rudeus Greyrat, and your father hired me to be your magical tutor as well as teach you the basics you’ll need to succeed as an Asuran noble.” Rudeus lowered himself down to one knee as he looked down at Eris. “And this-” he gestured to me, “-is my younger brother Law Greyrat, and he is to be your personal bodyguard from this day forward. All I ask is that you treat us both with respect and we will all learn to get along.”

Once Rudeus finished, he nodded to me and I glanced down at Eris.

A girl like this was unpredictable, but I knew I couldn’t keep her pinned down for the rest of her life.

I slowly removed my weight from her body and moved away, allowing her the chance to move her arm freely and get back up.

I walked so I was standing beside Rudy, but never took my eyes off of the girl for a second.

Once she rose to her feet again, she glared bloody murder at me, but didn’t attack us so honestly that’s a win in my books.

“Excellent!” Philip clapped and walked forward, stopping between Eris and us. “Now that you have met your tutor and bodyguard, why don’t you be a dear and run along to your mother?”

Eris gave her father a deep frown. She spared us one last glare before she walked past us and out of the room.

“You both managed to do what has never been done. Get my dear girl to listen to an outsider.” Philip remarked with an upward twitch of his lips. “I look forward to seeing what benefits your service will bring to my family.”

A nervous bead of sweat ran down my brow as Philip’s amused red eyes were locked with my blue orbs.

The entire time he had been looking at me, and I couldn’t help but feel like his words had a much deeper meaning than I could comprehend.

Author’s Note: So I’ve been away from my pc for a couple weeks which is why I haven’t updated any fics publically, only on Patreon in a while. The process of moving has finally died down and I’m reaching the final stretch now, which should mean more consistent updates for my fics. I’m working on two chapters of Spider as I’m writing this note and Vegeta is up next after I’ve finished those.
