Ch.8 I Was Bullied So Hard I Was Isekai'ed Into A World of Sword And Magic And Emerged As The Lightning Samurai God To Hatefuck My Former Bully Until She Got Heart Eyes

“Your sons need to be disciplined, they cannot be allowed to just attack my poor baby like that! Do you see the size of my boy’s bruise?! It’s swelling! What are you going to do about this?!” The brown-haired woman, Ada, asked him with all the righteous anger of a mother.
Paul stared past her, in complete shock at the actions of his sons.
Since their births, Rudeus and Law have both been well behaved. Sure, the boys had a little bit of trouble working with each other for the majority of their lives, but they were still well behaved.
Now, they managed to not only get along, but become practically inseparable, and Paul had thought they would go on to make him incredibly proud, and he was sure that day would come someday—but today was not that day.
Rudy and Law had bullied some kids and given them some injuries, and now he was being approached by every parent of the children, demanding his children be punished for their actions.
Only, Paul didn’t even know how he’d go about disciplining them.
They’d never acted out in the past, so he’d never done so before. The most he did was maybe give Rudeus a warning whenever he was getting a bit too smart for Paul’s tastes.
“Do you hear me?!” The mother of the bruised boy, Soma, called out with veins popping on her forehead.
“Yes, I do.” Paul frowned and bowed his head. “I’d like to deeply apologize for my sons’ actions. They were incorrect and I will ensure they are properly disciplined to make up for their rebellious behavior.”
As he looked back up, he saw the woman’s anger had all dispersed and was replaced by a strong blush.
“Well, as long as we’re clear the boys need to be punished.” She looked aside, averting her gaze from his.
“We are, I’ll deal with them.” Paul frowned deeper and dropped down to a knee and patted Soma’s head. “I’m sorry for what my sons have done to you.”
Soma turned his head away, and if Paul didn’t know any better, he’d say the boy looked ashamed, but he was probably wrong. Soma is probably just scared after the cruel events that happened today, and Paul doesn’t blame him.
Rudeus and Law are both monsters, monsters Paul is certain he won’t be able to stop in a few years, which means he needs to correct them while he still has the power advantage over them.
“Perhaps I could help you think of a necessary punishment for your sons.” The mother fiddled with her hands and simultaneously pushed out her breasts.
Paul would never admit that he stared for a moment, but he quickly shook his head. “That is not necessary, I’ll see to it myself, they’re my sons and I will punish them myself,”
“O-Oh, okay.” The woman blushed harder and gently touched her son's head. “Come along, Soma.”
As the two left, Paul realized what the best punishment for the two would be.
Things could go wrong, but he couldn’t have his sons end up being bullies.
If they managed to reach King Rank in their respective specialties and were bullies on top of that, it would go past just people dying, he’d have raised true degenerates.
No, that cannot happen! He’d put an end to their tyranny here and now!
— Law Greyrat —
“That cloud kinda looks like a unicorn, doesn’t it?” I pointed up into the setting sky and pointed at a specific cloud.
“Eh, kinda.” Rudy gave a so-so gesture with his hand.
“What’s a unicorn?” Sylphy asked with a scrunched nose and both Rudy and I shared an amused look.
“A horse with a horn.” Rudy answered.
“Then why not just say a horse?” She questioned curiously.
“Cause the cloud has a horn.” I shrugged.
“Oh.”
God she’s adorable.
The urge to go out and make a name for myself tended to die out the more I spent time with Sylphy and Rudy.
Call me disappointing, but having two friends that I could fully rely on and enjoy the company of made life a thousand times better.
We could honestly go out and adventure for a few years then come back here, kinda like Paul and Zenith had adventured then made a home out of Buena Village.
Rudeus and I could teach Sylphy all along, help her understand life, fend off boys that may want her hand, then ultimately step aside as some guy finally reaches our expectations (that will never happen, but Sylphy won’t know that).
Sylphiette was our sister in all but blood, and her presence added something to our lives that we didn’t know we were missing.
It would have been amazing to have Roxy here as well, but I’ll take what I can get.
“Well, it’s getting late, maybe we should head back now?” I asked and pushed myself onto my ass.
“Yeah, you’re right, we don’t want Father to come looking for us… again.” Rudy nervously scratched his chin.
I hummed in recollection. A few weeks ago we had stayed out well past the sky growing black, and Paul was sent by a worried and fearful Zenith.
He didn’t particularly mind our absence since he knows how strong we are, but Zenith on the other hand couldn’t give any fucks about our strength.
She worried as a mother usually does, and scolded us for causing her so much stress.
It was more of an endearing moment rather than a disciplinary one, and I cherish that night in my heart.
“We’ll walk you home, Sylphy.” Rudeus said, standing up and offering his hand to the smaller girls.
“Mmm.” She nodded and took it.
We made our way over to Sylphy’s house and upon arriving, saw her father sitting on the steps.
“Well well well, what do we have here?” I grinned and placed my hands on my hips as the half-elf man looked up at me.
“Law, Rudeus.” The man smiled and stood up, “Thank you for bringing Sylphiette back again, I’m in debt to both of you.”
“Enough of that goodie act, lesser Law.” I frowned. “I demand my name back, stop copying!”
“Law… we’ve been over this, my name is Laws, also I was born way before you.” The elf man said as his lips twitched upward.
“Yet you chose my name, why?!” I raised my hand in objection.
“… I didn’t choose anything, my mother gave it to me.”
“Aha, so you admit your name was a product of mine!” I closed my eyes and smiled, which made him blink in confusion.
“… When did I-“ He paused and let out a deep sigh and shook his head, though the wide smile on his face showed me he wasn’t actually upset by my words. “Never mind, come along Sylphiette.”
“Mmm!” Sylphy took her father’s hand as he led her back in. “Goodnight Rudy, Law!”
““Goodnight, Sylphy!”” Both of us waved as she went into her house and disappeared behind the closed door.
Rudy and I shared another look and nodded our heads.
Gotta keep that young girl pure.
With Sylphy safely back home, it was time for us to return as well.
Rudeus and I talked about various things all the way back, mainly how we could potentially try and make rice to go with our food.
Having some of the food from our old world would be pretty cool, but it wasn’t exactly a hard set goal of ours.
If we found a way, we’d use it.
Rudeus and I eventually walked up the hill and passed the wall to enter our yard.
Although we were surprised to see Paul sitting on the steps with his arms crossed.
He didn’t usually train with the sword this late, which means he was either there because Zenith kicked him out temporarily, or because he had been waiting for us.
Could honestly go either way with Paul.
“Hey, Father, what are you doing out here?” I asked with a neutral expression.
“Law…” Paul stood up and looked down at me with serious green eyes. “Go inside, we’ll talk later.”
Worry struck my heart as I realized how serious the man was now. Has something happened?!
“Father, what’s going on? Are Mother and Lilia alright?!” My mind began to wander, what else could cause the guy to be so uptight?
“Your mother and Lilia are fine. I’ll talk to you later. Go inside.” He ordered which took a weight off my chest, but I was still confused as to why Paul could be this upset.
I gave a look to Rudy, since it was clear Paul wanted to talk to my older brother alone, but the green-eyed boy gave me a small smile and did a shoo motion with his hand.
I nodded hesitantly and made my way inside, though I intended on listening in on their talk.
— Rudeus Greyrat —
Rudeus watched his little brother go with a smile. The same little brother that had done what not he, nor anyone else in his life could manage in over twenty years.
He set Rudeus’ spirit free, and for that, the boy would love his brother, dearly and eternally.
There was no greater gift, then the gift of freedom, and Law’s drawing was a memento of the day he experienced the outside.
Since then, going out was his favorite thing to do, a great way to pass time and enjoy himself.
Rudeus didn’t know how, but he knew he had to repay Law somehow, even if the younger boy had insisted more than once against it. He told Rudeus that he had done it all on his own, but the older Greyrat child knew better than that.
Without Law, would he have ever stepped outside? And even if he did, how much time would have passed before he realized how peaceful and enjoyable the outside could be?
“Rudy!” Paul shouted, snapping Rudeus out of his thoughts. “Are you ignoring me?”
“Oh, sorry Father, I was just thinking. What’s wrong? Have I done something to upset you?” Rudeus asked as he noticed the anger that was on Paul’s face.
He didn’t know what he could have done to upset the guy, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t weasel his way out of any punishment or blame.
He had spent over twenty years of his life doing that in his past life, and at this point, he was a master in evading responsibility.
“Have you nothing to say?”
“About?”
“Don’t play dumb!”
Rudeus tilted his head with a nervous head of sweat. There was one thing that was near impossible to argue against.
Pure ignorance.
Rudeus took in a deep breath and exhaled. He hoped Paul could open his heart a bit and actually explain what he had done to upset him, otherwise they would be here all night.
“Father, I’m asking because I don’t know what you mean. Please explain it to me so I can get the full picture.” Rudeus explained calmly which made Paul pause for a moment.
That moment passed quickly as Paul’s anger returned.
“You and Law beat up little Soma and his friends!” Paul crossed his arms and looked down on Rudy with scolding eyes. “What do you have to say for yourself?!”
“Soma?” Rudy tilted his head and fell into thought. Eventually Rudeus recalled how he and Law gave Sylphy’s bullies a taste of their own medicine. “I see what this is about now.”
“So you admit you did it and that you were wrong?” Paul asked with narrowed eyes.
“Oh, I admit we did it, yes, but we were not in the wrong.” Rudeus shook his head.
“Rudues, you beat up a lot of poor boys, bullied them with your magic and Law’s swordsmanship, all for fun!”
“You’re wrong.” Rudeus stared at Paul seriously. “Let me explain-”
“No.” Paul shook his head. “I’m not going to let you try and talk your way out of this, what you did was wrong, and you will be punished for it, but first you and I are going to march down to every single one of those boys houses, and you are going to apologize.” Paul walked forward and grabbed his arm, but Rudy tried to fight out of his grip.
“No, you’re not listening to me!” Rudeus tried to fight out of it, but Paul’s grip was too strong. “How the hell can you call yourself a father but let your ignorance blind you so completely?!” Rudeus shouted with rage, and Paul spun around, anger in his eyes.
“Rudy!” He roared as he backhanded the oldest Greyrat boy, making Rudy fall down on his butt. A red spot where Paul’s hand contacted Rudeus’ cheek began to form.
Paul looked down at his hand perhaps in surprise of what he had done, but Rudy couldn’t care less about that right now.
Paul had completely let his ignorance blind him and in an attempt to punish Rudeus for being a little brat, had himself become a brat drunk on his own authority.
“Father, what the hell are you doing?!” Law burst through the door, anger in his eyes, and Rudeus turned back in genuine surprise.
Law… had been watching?
“Rudy, are you alright?” He asked, dropping to a knee and gently touching Rudeus’ cheek, which made the older boy wince.
“I’m fine, it just stings a bit.” Rudeus stood up and gave his brother a comforting smile. There was something so heartwarming about having someone who would come to his aid whenever life wasn’t going his way.
Though, Rudeus would have rather not have Law watch what just happened.
“Rudy…” Paul whispered, and his eyes seemed to gain more focus, no longer running off of rage.
“Father, have Law and I not been good sons to you thus far?” Rudeus stepped forward and asked, making Paul pause.
“… You have, but that doesn’t-”
“And have we not listened to your words and executed your will to the best of our abilities?” Rudeus cut Paul off, and the older man averted his eyes and nodded.
“So why is it that you would rather strike me down and condemn us, than hear us out, for our side of the story?”
“You admitted to beating up Soma and his friends!” Paul argued and Rudeus nodded.
“And we did it for a good reason.” Rudeus shot back.
“There is no good reason for beating up kids weaker than you!” Paul shouted, his anger returned!
“Oh, is that true?” Rudeus laughed, turning to Law who was frowning deeply at their father. “Then the next time we see a group of boys preparing to throw rocks at our friend, maybe we’ll step aside and watch the show!”
Rudy’s words made Paul’s eyes widen, but the green-eyed boy wasn’t done.
“Or better yet, maybe we’ll pick up a couple of rocks ourselves and join in on the fun!” Rudeus nodded sagely, and by now Paul’s ignorance began to die.
“Wait… what? Tell me what happened.”
“Oh now you want to know?!” Rudeus held out his hands as if the revelation was groundbreaking. “Paul Greyrat, the King of Ignorance, finally wishes to put down his crown and gain some understanding of events for once! We are not worthy, your grace!” Rudeus bowed slightly, only adding more embarrassment to Paul as he rubbed the back of his head nervously.
“Soma and his group were gonna throw rocks at Sylphy because they thought that she was a member of the Superd Race, so we roughed them up a bit to teach them a lesson, no one picks on little Sylphy.” Law crossed his arms, and it was clear he had no intention of budging.
Paul’s eyes widened at Law’s words, and regret began to fill his eyes.
“The next time you become so angry you wish to strike someone, pick up the blade and face me, but if you ever strike anyone I care about to feed your sense of pride, I’ll never forgive you.” Law glared with cold eyes, and again Rudeus was surprised by the lengths his little brother was willing to go.
Law grabbed Rudy’s hand and pulled him along and inside the house.
Rudeus knew his brother enough to know that he wouldn’t actually hate Paul if that day came, but he would be really upset. The fact that he was willing to speak those words to a father he loved so dearly, for his older brother's sake, filled Rudy’s heart with warmth and admiration for his younger brother.
“Is everything alright, boys?” Zenith asked from just in front of the door. She was likely just about to come outside to see what the commotion was about.
“No, talk to Father.” Law walked right past her and up the stairs. Rudeus followed along until they reached their room and both boys split up to sit on their respective beds.
Silence descended upon the two for almost a whole minute as Rudeus let Law cool down a bit,
That was the angriest Rudy had ever seen his brother. The realization that now was a chance to help Law hit Rudeus as the older boy rubbed his sword cheek.
“Does it still hurt?” Law questioned, concern lacing his tone.
“A little, but we’ve been through worse, right?” Rudeus chuckled, making Law nod slowly. The younger boy stood up and made his way over to Rudeus, catching him off guard.
Law lowered himself and extended his hand, and a green glow began to emit from his palm. When the glow died down, Rudeus’ cheek didn’t hurt anymore.
“That wordless healing magic is really useful.” Rudeus admitted/complimented.
“Yeah, it’s nice.” Law hummed. “You’re so much better than me when it comes to magic that I was super happy to have something that you can’t do.” Law smiled slightly and walked back to his bed.
He sat down and silence came over them for another half a minute.
Rudeus felt so many words bubbling in his chest. He wanted to let Law know how much his presence meant to him, but just couldn’t express those words clearly, so he settled for what he could.
“Thank you, Law, for standing up to Father for me. I… didn’t want you to see that.” Rudeus scratched the back of his head as he remembered the boy’s past life.
“I don’t like bullies, you know that.” Law frowned and laid back onto his bed. “I love Father, but his actions cannot be excused. He should have never struck you.”
Rudeus nodded, but his mind didn’t remain so caught up on Paul’s mistake. He didn’t blame the guy. Mentally Rudeus was older than Paul, in fact, he was double the guy’s age, so it was no surprise that Rudeus was more mature than him.
Paul would learn from this. The way his favorite son scolded him would replay in his mind, and he’d grow from this.
— Paul Greyrat —
Hours after the argument he had with his sons, Paul was still awake, sitting at the family table, sipping away at some liquor they had stored.
“You’re not coming to bed?” Zenith asked with a soft voice as she came down the stairs wearing a nightgown.
“Mm, soon.” Paul answered as he took another swig.
Zenith approached and stopped just behind him. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling the back of his head into her bosom.
He melted in her touch and wanted more, so he reached around the chair and pulled her into his lap, making her yelp in surprise before relaxing in his embrace.
“What happened?” The woman he loved asked as she gently played with his hair.
“I… got into a fight with the boys.”
“That’s surprising,” Zenith whispered. “They’re usually so well behaved.”
“It wasn’t their fault.” Paul admitted looking down, earning Zenith’s full attention.
“Since Rudeus was born, we’ve had such an easy time raising him, then Law came along, and as if to make our lives even easier, he didn’t cause any trouble either.
“Mmm.” Zenith smiled as she reminisced.
“Today several of the village kids' parents came around and told me that Rudeus and Law beat up their children.” Paul explained and Zenith froze, her eyes were wide and her mouth agape.
“Our boys?!” She nearly shouted and Paul nodded.
“I was just as surprised as you, but a part of me… was happy.”
“Happy?” Zenith tilted her head as she continued to stroke her husband’s hair.
“For once, our sons engaged in something childish, fighting is completely normal for kids, so I wasn’t too upset about that, but they’re strong, stronger than all of those kids combined, and that’s because we gave them the tools to grow.” Paul admitted before taking another sip.
“And you got into a fight when you confronted them?” Zenith questioned softly.
Paul nodded. “I had thought I finally understood them, but I was wrong. They fought those kids because the village boys were going to throw rocks at Sylphiette.”
Zenith’s mouth dropped open again and was replaced with anger.
“Those boys, how dare they?! Poor Sylphy is so sweet and innocent!”
“I know… what those boys did was wrong, but I’m no better.” Paul frowned. “I… hit Rudy, I didn’t listen to what he had to say and I struck him for talking back.”
Zenith went quiet at that, and for a moment Paul thought he’d face his wife’s rage, but to his surprise, he felt his head be pulled back into her large breasts.
“You’re sorry, aren’t you?” Zenith asked and Paul nodded. “Then tell our boys that. They will come to forgive you.”
“How can you be so sure, if I was them, I wouldn’t have forgiven me.” Paul frowned deeply.
“Because they are not you.” Zenith smiled softly. “They are our boys, our unbothered gifts to this world, and they love their father more than you know.”
Paul remained quiet as he let Zenith’s words flow into his mind.
Maybe she was right, his boys were good, the best he could ask for.
He’d need to apologize and make things right, but that could take time.
A soft smile came to Paul’s face at the thought.
Heh, he had come to this village to start a family and enjoy life until his dying day.
All he had was time and his family.
