Joey Dolga

Is anyone watching mashle muscule and magic hells paradise

Fahad Khan

It is a difference if its an anime of fantasy or sci fi and it's setting. And whether its is set in close proximity to real life or not. This one is mostly set in real life, although somewhat in the future with specific sci fi elements. So weirdly it is more a sci fi than fantasy and real life Japanese context is highly relevant :)

Stefan

Hey guys are we forgetting this is an anime, you don"t have to geek out over real world facts that don't apply in this fantasy world that is called anime. I get your projecting but calm down. Just enjoy the story for what it is. 'It's just a game' <3

Renaud Nadeau - on point 3 - what the author is "admitted" is that when he wrote it, he wasn't the type a gamer that Kirito is, not that he didn't play. Meaning - he never was at a top guild with the top loot and etc. Or, well, I'd better just quote the book itself: Reki Kawahara—May 26th, 2009 "I’ve played a number of online games in the past, and I never succeeded in joining the top echelon of players in any of them. I spent all of my days watching other players with rare weapons and elite stats crush hordes of monsters and marveling at their feats. So while the first volume focused on Kirito and Asuna, two of the game’s “clearers” (top players), I really wanted to write more about the normal, mid-level folks who don’t get much of the spotlight. That’s the angle I was going for with the four stories contained in Volume 2." - which is how stories about Sachi, Liz, Yui and Silica were made. Given, that 2009 is when the book was officially published, but the stories themselves go back to 2002+, Reki actually started with some of the oldest MMOs out there, played before most of his haters were born or think MMOs came out :D

Same thing in my country its halal there’s nothing wrong with Marry ur cozn

Fahad Khan

My issues with his response is 1. Calling me a dumbass outta nowhere. 2. Saying something factually wrong. 3. I am fairly sure that the writer did admit to not being a gamer but clearly did research as most of the game mechanics are extremely logical and are used in games all the time. 4. I only stated what I did in the first post because it's what Neel mentioned in the reaction. I feel like this guy didn't even watch it.

Renaud Nadeau

Typical hater that parrots lies some anituber that made money off 10 years ago.

Ryuuji Gremory

I know been waiting since he said he was gonna upload it Monday or Tuesday. But hard to react to a movie when you feel sick tho.

Seriously, I'm still can't wrap my head around the fact that someone would on a serious note say that SAO's author didn't play videogames, or somehow admitted such a nonsense. Lotus Gramarye - did you took that info from some YTer?... As for "none of the video game mechanics make any sense whatsoever." - like what? What are the examples among episodes Neel already saw? I've played enough different games 2D/3D/VR offline and online - SAO makes a perfect sense to me. Maybe I can help you with some that have you troubled?

"The author has admitted he has not once played a video game" Well, this alone says you're just making stuff up lol.

Kirito was born oct 7 2008, Asuna was born sep 30 2007. we are currently in jan 2025. In japan its legal for males to marry at 18 and females to marry at 16, so they wouldnt legally be able to do it since kirito is 16 1/2 years old

Ruukasu97

Your wrong but ok bud. "The laws surrounding marriage in Japan are governed by the Japanese Civil Code, which allows marriage between blood relatives up to the third degree of kinship. This means that first cousins can legally marry in Japan. However, it is worth noting that some regions and religious groups in Japan may have their own restrictions on cousin marriage." Keep in mind I am not promoting this in any way. Just saying yes it is legal and yes it does happen. It's not what the story is about and I don't get why you are even here since you seem to hate it so much?

Renaud Nadeau

you could also watch the openings and endings after youre done with that arc, you could also wait after each season or after youre done with all 96 episodes

Ruukasu97

It's not actually acceptable to marrying your family in Japan dumbass. It's not the 1800s anymore. Same situation as pretty much any developed country, yes it still happens in some places but would be considered strange at best and outright disgusting at worst. That's why it's so common in anime/manga and why it's here. It's not accepted so degenerates find it hot and so it helps sell copies of your work. And that's something that SAO is explicitly designed to be; a best-seller that chases trends. The author has admitted he has not once played a video game and only chose that as the setting because he knew it would be popular with kids/teens. Which is why none of the video game mechanics make any sense whatsoever.

Lotus Gramarye

I will mention that Kirito and Suguha/Leafa at no point have a romantic relationship. It is true that in Japan culturally it is ok to marry your cousin and often used as a way to keep family businesses within the family. But that isn't what is going on here really. So many people see the potential storyline and can't move past it. which is why so many people hate this story arc. Kirito found out this family wasn't his real family when he was still pretty young. His way of dealing with it was to distance himself. Prior to that he and Suguha were very close as they both believed they were siblings. Kirito dived into video games as escapism but then got stuck in SAO as a result. While he was there Suguha learned about him not being her brother. When he came back they both wanted to repair their broken relationship. Suguha becomes confused about her feelings and in order to move past them she latches onto building a relationship with Kirito in Alfheim. not knowing that it's her cousin... definitely awkward but not intentional. You will have to wait and see how it resolves but as I said. So many people get hung up on this part of the story and forget to enjoy the rest.

Renaud Nadeau

For Ending song itself, i don't know if it a spoiler or not but it's display the charachter they focus on each arc. I think it will be good if u watch it at the end of the season.
