I dont know about the rest of the fanbase, but what made me disappointed was the quality of the animation later on. The plot did go absolutely bananas but that's how it is with almost every anime once they run too long.

2023-05-14 01:27:31 +0000 UTCThe reason the wanted posters looked inaccurate is because the artist drew what they assumed the seven deadly sins would look like after 10 years. Also the holy knight that Meliodas defeated was surprised to see his appearance didn't change in the 10 years.
