That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Episode 22 Reaction

Comments

Slime Diaries adds in a lot of the depth to some of the less major characters that is cut out in the anime adaptation of the novels, especially characters like Geld, and as far as it's been adapted it's consistent with the characterisation given in the novels.

All of Slime Diaries (that has been adapted atm) takes place between Ep.14 of Season 1 and the end of S1, so technically after S1 would be the right time to start it, instead of leaving the cliffhanger of the end of part 1 of Season 2 hanging in the air for 12 episodes.

There is one thing that might be a mistranslation in the episode. When Ramiris said that she is "the one who keeps the balance of the world", the truth is she is one of those who keep the balance of the world. -------------- I am probably the only one it seems who thinks the episode entitled Veldora's Journal #1 is worth watching. It's a recap but there is some information about what's going on with Veldora and Ifrit. You seem to be the type, like me, who likes to pick up tidbits of information to piece together to solve mysteries in the story. Admittedly, there's not a whole lot of that in Jounal #1, but there's a lot more intriguing information in Veldora's Journal #2, which comes after Part 1 of Season 2. Also Ep. 24.9, the first couple of minutes only, fits into the plot. I recommend watching both of these, I don't think you need to record a reaction to them. And please don't skip reacting to Ep. 24 of Season 1, I've seen people say elsewhere to not watch it in the past, but I disagree. Slime Diaries is even more laid-back and comedic than even the most relaxing regular Slime episode, and has a different art style. There's a little fleshing-out of the background, and, as I said, it's fun and relaxing, if you like slice-of-life. You might like to watch it at some point, but I'm about 50-50 on recording it. One misconception a lot of people have is that Slime is based on the manga; it's not, it's based on the original light novel. There are some contradictions between the three but most often the anime follows the novel, though a lot is skipped.

No don’t watch if u want to watch it for urself on later we need regular season please

Several comments already recommend watching the OVA, I also think it really good and add extra information for some characters before SS2. For the slime diaries, you can watch it after SS2 because each episode take place between some events in SS1-first half of SS2 (EP12). It is very enjoyable if you like seeing people in this show have funny moment and interaction. It is a very good slice of life show.

Slime Diaries is all just fun, dumb side stories, totally skippable but fun if you love slime

Highly recommend watching the OVAs between the two seasons. Specifically Eps 3-5, called Rimuru's Glamourous Life as a Teacher (parts 1-3) They follow the stories of rimuru teaching the kids and they are very good. The first two are more meme/fanservice episodes and can totally be skipped

JadonTheEternal

First it goes over skipped content

Chandler Plays

There are 5(4) OVA episodes that are set between season one and two timeline-wise

Slime diaries isn't cannon to the seasons themselves it's just it's own separate thing. And season 2 picks up where season 1 leaves off, so watch that first and then slime diaries.

Mikyah

The anime doesn’t/hasn’t yet describe how powerful this demon lord is/was

In all seriousness though, safe trip, good sir! Hope everything goes well with your travel and the procedure itself! Look forward to the new impromptu set.
