Finally... She's so classy and stunning here and so is her performance. I was so captivated while watching. It is more so like desperate yet ethereal performance for me and I can't just stop listening to it. Thanks for watching it with me 😊. Anyways if you like to react more to this kind of performance she has one more I really really wanted u to react to... It's called LOVE ALONE, same as this with minimalist sound... The tone of the old fashioned words creates a deeper and richer sensibility than the meaning of the words, but it does not feel that way through translation. This performance of IU is the reason I stan this artist. Her mastery of her instrument which is her voice is sooo good, as good as the pianist was. Everytime I hear this performance, although I've seen this many times makes me stop and listen to her. It brings tears to my eyes as it always touches my emotions. From what I've read, this song is sang to a friend who is in the depths of despair and is contemplating ending their life. Don't quote me on this because when I looked up this song a year ago, that was what I had read somewhere. It is interesting to note that the original of this is quite uptempo and kind of latin in feel. the original song is from the 60s or 70s I believe. Thank you for this.

I think the reason why this song has repeating lyrics is because it's just a short poem converted to a song. Like all poems, this is really open to interpretation. Some people think that is about loss and not knowing how to deal with it. Others think this is about not knowing how to console someone you care for. But mostly, it's about being unable to let go of something you care for even if you know it's not coming back.
