YESSS Hyori's Bed & Breakfast with IU, You get to know her better because her usual/normal human self is very well captured in that show. Even her clothes were her personal clothes and she turned down all sponsorships because she felt like she wont be genuine if she did that. She didn't bring make up artist and hairstylist with her too, it was all her! Also her relationship with Hyori and Hyori's husband Sangsoon is really beautiful.

I like IU's old voice better. It's a little more husky and thick. But it's great that she changes her singing style to match her changing voice.

So the ㅂ니다/습니다 sentence structuring refers to the highest form of formality in the Korean language. That song is called "My old story" and the lyrics of the song convey a message to a love that was lost (at least that is my interpretation). It's a pretty emotional song. Since you mentioned it, IU's voice did alter from her younger days since she did "good day" and "you and I". In my opinion it changed for the better. Her current voice offers her more layers and she is able to branch into more diverse types of songs. Though I do miss her youthful voice, her voice now doesn't stop her from nailing those old songs of hers so it's all good. Also yay to Hyori BnB. It's such a good relaxing series.

- You definitely should watch the full knowing bros episode - The guy (joon gi) who you didn’t recognise was also a guest alongside IU in that episode. AND he acted together with IU in the kdrama ‘Scarlet Heart’. He was the male lead and IU was the female lead. It take a deep dive into her work, thoughts and so much more. One of the host is Yoo Hee Yeol (the host of Yoo Hee Yeol's sketchbook and a senior that IU is very close to), so we can know more things about IU through his eyes.
