2023-03-16 20:24:42 +0000 UTCTimes like this I really appreciate when the dub does change dialogue: despite it already being heavily implied that General Blue is gay, the original Japanese version still felt the need to put in the scene with General Blue being attracted to Obotchaman as he fixed the car. But robot or not, Obotchaman is still physically a child. So rather than keep the pedophilia, Funimation changed the dialogue slightly so that Blue was having nostalgic feelings about his late younger brother Samuel. Not only is it more appropriate, but it makes Blue's character more human.
