Good news (mostly)

  Heard back from Patreon support today and got things sorted, so my page is operating normally again. However, it does mean that I won't be able to upload certain types of content here in the future.

  The support representative was very civil and gave clarification as to why some of my art was deemed problematic in the first place. Basically, if a pic is sexual in nature and features a character who "doesn't consent" to whatever's happening to them, then it violates Patreon's policies. Perfectly reasonable in a scenario where a character is performing sexual acts, for example, because it can be considered rape. I have no problem with the verdict in that context.

  Unfortunately, I think the rule could use some revisions because I was also asked to remove my Mercy x Tracer picture from a while back ("Overhealing is hazardous to your clothes"). It's the one where Mercy is mocking Tracer for being terrible and expanding her with her healing beam. Even though the entire point of that picture is for a goofy, kinky laugh, it's considered to be 'non-consensual' because Tracer is (snarkily) telling Mercy to stop before she pops. I think it's fair to say there's a pretty big difference between something like that and forced sex, but that's the weird grey area we've come to expect from the internet at this point.

  Again, I appreciate how helpful the support rep was, the fact that Patreon actually does support fetish content, and that they're willing to communicate with creators in order to resolve issues instead of just throwing around a ban hammer. But, obviously this is all still a little frustrating simply due to what I normally draw.

  In any case, at least I don't have to worry about anything happening to my page and can continue on as usual, so that's nice. My terrible sleep schedule is about put me to sleep as soon as I finish writing this post, but I'm gonna stick to what I said yesterday about drawing as much as I can this week. I'll have a polished up preggo Chiyo to share with y'all much later tonight and I'll try to have one pic done each day for the rest of the week.
