Insane Creator Scam (Creative BREAKDOWN)

A look behind the scenes into how we layer ideas until we come to the finished product of our recent video's Intro.

I think it's interesting to look at the creative process for Coffeezilla and how it's evolved over time into its current form. For big investigations like this we average about 4-7 iterative reviews until we're satisfied.

I think for any creative finding their ideal workflow is a process of self-discovery. In my case I find that laying down basic concepts into a timeline and then slowly executing and improving is best.

Let me know what you like to do if you have a different workflow!

Enjoy! :)

I appreciate the exposition. I find what was going through the director's mind more interesting than the actual production but your productions are actually kick ass also. I think your process is excellent and makes logical sense and you have a keen eye for what works. The art of good story telling is to remove that which is redundant and you achieve it brilliantly. The workflow using the system that you have chosen seems straighforward: straightforward enough that you can showcase it to us your audience, so well done. Totally excellent. And as you point out, this meta workflow too will incrementally improve over time.

New Patreon here. I was watching "I Destroyed a $500,000,000 Ponzi Scheme" after todays Logan Paul scam update and decided to pull the trigger and support Coffeezilla through Patreon because how much I appreciated the work you are doing. I gotta say, after watching this, seeing how meticulous you are about every part of your videos makes me feel confident on how meticulous you are about the meat of them (the investigations). Keep up the amazing work.

I love the attention to detail and effort that goes into every video, makes it worth the wait!

Maxwell's not real? Noooooooooo!!!

Duuuude. Stop apologizing. Your process is a huge part of why we’re all here — on Patreon to begin with, but specifically watching a bts video. If we weren’t interested in all this, we wouldn’t have clicked. You’re a genius, and you’re showing us the inner workings.

Rosy

I can’t remember if Maxwell has a last name. If not, it should be Shot.

I have a quick question about the cost from the factory. What does original cost from factory actually include? What were the incoterms? Sounds no one at the company has a clue to actually determine COGS or create and execute a basic functional supply chain. I’ve been in logistics and supply chain for 10 years now.

If anyone wants to support a creator more, you can go to Settings / Memberships / click on the button for the creator, then click on the Edit Pledge option and then click on the pencil next to the tier you are on - that allows you to adjust the amount.

Cleverly Blonde

That's cool. Unfortunately I don't like Dropbox lol. We use frame.io that does pretty much the same thing.

Great work, I've been meaning to become a Patreon for a while and have finally done so today! Just wondering if you can have a higher tier for those of us who can donate more? Can explicitly say that there's no added benefit, just to give more support.

Thanks for all the hard work.

Me again with other tiers, you could have one which is USD 10 a month but it doesn't have to offer anything extra, just more chance to support?

Yay! I feel so proud to be a Patron of Coffeezilla. Thank you for the work you do!

Yes! This definitely happens. Like for a graphic about midway thru the video we reverted back to a draft 3 version bc we had over done it.

Coffeezilla

So many times he made me re-render that into sequence because it was too long or not long enough lol

Ed Leszczynski

it's dropbox, it allows to upload a video and add comments based on time-codes

Ed Leszczynski

nerrrrrd haha, really great breakdown. have you ever had earlier iterations turn out to be better than whatever "improvements" you seem to do? demo-itis for video, is that a thing?

Paul Kang

Wow! Thank you for this behind the scenes. Insane how much effort goes into this.

JackhammerChuck

awesome !!!

This is so refreshing! Great work!

Jondeau Kassim

This is so cool. Thanks a million for sharing.

Shannon Calder

Wow. This is amazing. Thanks for sharing. Just signed up today and already have $100's of value for my $5. Is that frame.io you're using?

Thanks for this Coffee! So happy to support you here
