If he just gave them rumors it would just make them angry, so he waited for confirmation of her arrival at his sect and gave her and Ryun one of the best living arrangements to show sincerity and respect. Now he can just bring Sigmund and Eratemus to Tali, Tali will tell Sigmund they can kill phoenix bitch together when things with the domes are settled and Sigmund can claim Ryun as his brother in name for helping Tali how he has.

I think I remember that her reason was that she didn't want to trouble him when she was weak, so she was going to reveal herself when she was stronger. Either way, Sig is going to come close to Saying something he shouldn't.
