Vanitas No Carte E1 & E2 Full Reaction

Comments

Dante Alighieri was an Italian writer whose work entensively featured Hell. This Dante might be named after him. "Carpe Diem, quam minimum credula postero" is a Latin sentence from Odes, a collection of poems. It means "Seize the day, put very little trust in tomorrow". Both "Vanitas" ("emptiness", the concept that earthly possessions are worthless compared to Heaven) and "Carpe Diem" (the name of Jeanne's Crimson Gauntlet), as well as "Memento Mori" (Remember that you'll die) were important baroque concepts in the 17th century. Bourreau = Executioner Oui = Yes Monsieur = Mister Votre Altesse = Your Highness Chevalier = Knight Thank you for episode 2

Catching up on the first episodes I had skipped now that part 2 started. I knew vampire folklore came from the Balkans region, but not that the word itself stayed the same. That's cool. French words (btw your accent is even cuter than in English): Chasseurs = Hunters La Baleine = The Whale (the steampunk airship) Mon Chaton = My Kitty (pet name for a loved one) Mademoiselle = Miss (for a young or unmarried girl, otherwise it's "Madame") Maladie = sickness/illness (the things corrupting the true names) (L'Arche de) Noé = Noah ('s Ark) You didn't understand wrong. Vanitas says he's just a human who inherited the Vampire's name. Thank you for episode 1
