2024-12-14 04:03:41 +0000 UTCPlus, the actual output, when it does come out, is light on content. HB, when we get it on time, is nine panels, one of which is the chapter page. One of the other artists in this genre that I subscribe to has two projects per month. *Two*. A longer, ongoing story like HB that can take sometimes close to two years or more to finish and a shorter one that usually finishes in a year or less. The main project ALWAYS comes out on the first of every month and the shorter one comes out mid-month on the 15th. The longer story has 10-15 pages and the shorter one, 5-7 pages. So, on the low average, we're looking at 15 pages per month. And I pay him $5. The quality of HB is awesome; I love the art style, the story f***ing rocks (just wish there were more naughty vices - missing Cat and Ash puffing and hasn't been any drinking yet which is weird for a corruption story) but really, eight pages of content. Eight. Some may disagree as fans of the other stories, but I would rather see 10-12 pages of HB (not counting the chapter page, nope) on the 1st of each month like clockwork and one of the other projects rotate with lesser page counts on the 15th. Also, you should have a buffer to fall back on. Hopefully, the story is outlined, so you know where it will go and what tangents to follow for awhile and then get back to the main plot. So, take a break, build up a cache of finished product you can release on time while you work on new chapters. Gives you some breathing room and you don't have complainers like me and Venom posting nastygrams all the time. More "projects" are not better if you can't deliver. Or, you know, don't. And keep pissing people off so they unsub and then your bottom line profit goes to shit. Up to you.

2024-12-14 03:52:08 +0000 UTCAlso, I'm not saying all of this as someone who just likes your work, I'm saying this as a fellow creative who manages social media, creates graphics in illustrator/ Photoshop while shooting content almost daily, editing in After Effects/ Premiere for a job that pays me around the same amount you make here per month. Figure it out fam. Time Management.

Making plans for 10+ releases and ghosting people aint cutting it. Now, there may be things going on behind the scenes, but that's life. Nobody is perfect and that is why we have to PLAN accordingly. If things are unstable at home, plan for that with your artwork. You are a good artist with great ideas but your execution sucks on a platform that people are paying for your work. When people are paying you money for your work, YOU HAVE to deliver. If you need a break, take one and freeze your account so people do not get charged.

It looks like you'll be missing the mark yet again this month, Jack. As others have said, stop working on 20 projects at once. Focus on 3-4 and release them on a regular schedule. Quality + consistency over quantity.
