Haikyuu!! Episode 1 & 2

omg i'm so excited you're starting this!! so, lil fun fact: i'm currently a huge fan of the nba (basketball) but, when i first watched haikyu, i wasn't into ANY sports irl at all. i wasn't interested in playing or watching any, (i played a lil bit of basketball when i was a kid but nothing serious and it was mostly bc we had a basketball hoop in our backyard lol) but i loved this anime regardless and i personally got super invested in most of the teams shown throughout the anime, as well as the practice and real matches! one of the things i love about this show is, while karasuno is the *main* team we follow, a lot of the other teams also get their own lil chance to shine in certain episodes (not all teams, unfortunately, but quite a good amount imo) and we see different team/friendship dynamics bc of that! :) that's all i'm gonna say about this and i'll let you see how everything else plays out, but i was truly rooting for a lot of the teams, even tho karasuno is special to me (also yes, this is one of the sports animes that has a good amount of ships lol, but i feel like that's kinda how it is with most sports animes?). also this is the watching order i'd personally recommend: - haikyu season 1 - haikyu: the arrival of lev! (OVA 1) - haikyu season 2 - haikyu: vs akaten/failing grades (OVA 2) - haikyu season 3 - haikyu: land vs sky (OVA 4) - haikyu: the "path" of the ball (OVA 5) - haikyu to the top season 4 (part 1) - haikyu to the top season 4 (part 2) - haikyu the movie: the dumpster battle (the other movies are just recaps of that season, but feel free to watch them if you want! the OVAs i listed above do pretty much tie in to the next season from where they're listed so that's why i included them. oh and btw, haikyu can be spelled either how i spelled it or the way you do bc i've seen people spell it either/or so i just wanted to lyk in case you think it might be different but i'm just used to spelling it as haikyu atp!) also!! i wanted to add, after i listen to a new opening of an anime the first time, i tend to just skip the intro for the rest of the episodes unless i REALLY loved the song and this first haikyu opening was one of those i've never skipped. it's so catchy, i added it to my playlist! :')
