Opinion Poll -- NARRATION
Added 2025-05-09 23:34:09 +0000 UTCAs you know, narration is currently a combination of Elevenlabs text-to-speech (sourced from public-domain recordings) and post-editing. This works fine and dandy, but I feel it limits me from really putting myself out there. Whenever I bring on a new VA for a project or show my stuff off to other people, I have to explain to them "yes it's technically kinda AI but also it's public domain and I edit all of it and-".
It would be possible for me to add human narration instead (similar to Distraction Tactics or Gallery Closing), but it may take a little longer to finish audios compared to how I do them. Emphasis on "may"- I don't know if it would or how much longer it would take. This would mostly just be extra 'time in the oven' to ensure all the lines needed are there and that they're of good quality. I say this because I'm currently editing a RWBY audio and, as of writing, the entire ending scene is just SAM placeholders :V
If the result is a slight majority, I'll start doing it for audios I've begun working on after this poll. If it's a vast majority, I'll start doing it immediately for audios I've already been working on.

2025-05-10 14:25:41 +0000 UTCSome of it is pitch modulation to get a more 'natural' sound and feel, some is running generations until I get it to pronounce stuff in the way I want. It honestly probably *is* more time than just getting someone to record over it, lol.
