rise and shine.... mister "Feed"man....
Hey again! As of this post, the Patreon page is now unpaused and weekly updates will be posted as normal stating this Saturday (10/5). No idea why Patreon locks down new pledges during page pauses, but it is what it is. This post is public for anyone who'd like to support me as I get working on my upcoming audio stories, comic dubs, and the bigger project 👀
Here is a quick rundown on what you can expect!
The next handful of audio stories uploaded will likely be the following:
Life Is a Beach [And Then You Oppai] (Highschool DxD, hourglass inflation)
Sister of Scarlet ~ Liplocking Lunatic (Touhou, fullbody inflation)
A Fine Day For Explosions (Chainsaw Man, fullbody-ish (mostly belly) inflation + popping)
Clover's Cookie-Consequences (Totally Spies, weight gain)
Most of these are done. I'm primarily just waiting on the cover art to be. 🥴 I guess worst case scenario, you might see me upload something with a "I'll add the thumbnail soon guys!" notice, but this will hopefully not be the case.
Aside from that, I have a handful of comics to dub that you'll likely see at least one of during November. I'll be sending the scripts off this week to be voiced. 🤔
Okay, so now the main meat and potatoes of why I've been kinda quiet over the past month: as of this post, I'm currently closing in on having 5 of the 6 episodes written (compare to my initial estimate of maybe having 3 done by now). I think I can get #6 done by next weekend, then I'll get cooking on figuring out what artists and voice talents I'm gonna tap for this thing. 😁
You can expect another progress update in mid-October regarding the general video layout (i.e. why I keep calling it "VN-ish"), and one in maybe late-October maybe early-November where I show off the script. The third update will also be the spoilers will start to be revealed in the updates, so read them with caution if you want to go in blind!
However, here is a brief synopsis with as little spoilers as possible. I would otherwise happily yap for much much longer about episodes 2 through 6, lol.
EP 1/6, "Welcome Aboard! SNR Records" -- Introduces us to Mona Minnuit, a less-than-charismatic Average Jane who can't seem to hit her stride in the big city*. But when she lands a position as a "Talent Manager" at one particular "SNR Records" label, she arrives with a hesitant eagerness. After shaking hands with Jacqueline "Jack" Sharpe (her cool-headed boss) and Naomi Glace (the less-than-cool-headed marketing specialist), Mona is ill-prepared for what awaits her when she meets Aiko Rivabu, an idol with a penchant for 'big' acts...
EP 2/6, "Much Ado About Pumpin" -- After some initial shock, Mona and Aiko head up to the roof where Aiko introduces her new manager to a very important concept in the world of inflatable musicians: the adver-blimp. After some verbal finagling and "this is what I'm supposed to do as a manager, right?"-ing, Mona finds herself stepping up to bat...
EP 3/6, "A Fill-Her Episode" -- An episode focusing primarily on Naomi, walking us through a mundane morning and her midday break. I get away with not having Naomi inflate because she's fat so I can include a lot of saucy shots of her belly and ass and stuff. Despite the title, this does tie into the second episode right at the very end 🤔
EP 4/6, "Crash Landing" ** -- After some ~events~ that occurred in the second and third episodes, Mona and Naomi find themselves sitting in Jack's office and must reconcile what happened. I flex my conversation-writing skills in order to insert flashback/cutaway inflation scenes. It's not "gee Lois this is worse than the time I became a blimp!" I promise 🙏
EP 5/6 -- "PSI In The PM" -- A cool-off from the previous three episodes' arc. Mona and Aiko make final preparations for the upcoming concert (which, as you can guess, involves rehearsing the inflation scenes as well). Includes a soooort of B-plot where Jack gets cracking away at some assignments so that she doesn't have to worry about them for the next month. Her brainfuel of choice? Extra-fizzy carbonated energy drinks.
EP 6/6 -- "The Big, Big Show" ** -- The concert! This is probably the episode I should talk the least about in the interest of avoiding spoilers (for now), but I will mention that I want to try getting a fully-animated music video done for this. Maybe a little ambitious, but I'll ask around and see what can be done.
*⠀it's like Chicago but not. or maybe I just bite the bullet and make it set in straight-up Chicago? not sure. doesn't come up too too much in the series anyhow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
**⠀all of these episode titles are subject to change, but these ones are the most likely to change
Again, these are broad overviews of what the plotline will be like. I'll give a more detailed breakdown of who gets what expansion scenes when it's time to show off the full script. During writing, I've made sure that even the scenarios not as direct as "there's a girl and a pump" have some scenes where we get to see the characters round out. 🤭
Small section since this is nothing I haven't done before, but just figured I'd put it in writing: I'll occasionally be chiseling out weeks from posting audio stories in order to update you guys on sound edits (like this or like this) or to update about the SNR Records project (blogposts like this).
Generally speaking, the more I'm working on stuff that isn't audio stories, the more you can expect to see updates relating to that. Sounds kind of obvious, but worth mentioning anyway.
(I'll also use this space to mention that I'm having those "maybe I should change the character polls hmm" thoughts again. Might amount to something, might not.)
This didn't fit into any other section, but I changed the visualizer again:

Still kind of WIP-y. Things will be rearranged. The "this story uses elevenlabs for the narration btw" notice will be added. Other details will be tweaked.
If your thought is "but why tho" then you can thank deviantArt for hitting me with THIS 😡😡
Just horrible. Why did it make it look like one of those artist ads where they crop it down to an eyeball and go "see the full version on my patreon"? Scott Jarkoff and friends count your collective days (physically restraining myself from calling him "Scott Jerkoff").
But yeah, that's all for now. Thanks for reading and see you soon!
