Hi all! Happy Cirno day. Here's the first of many update posts I'll be making throughout the rest of 2024 and into 2025 as I continue to work on "SNR Records"- a multi-part kink audio with heavy visual elements. Not an animation or comic dub- this is closer to a visual novel.
Next progress log will focus on that, this one is about the characters! Arguably the most important part outside of the actual kink stuff itself... which I will touch upon in this post, just let me yap about colors and stuff first :V
Anyway, here are the character designs Browser124 and I made. Some minor details are subject to change (feeling like giving Mona freckles, Naomi some more noticeable eyebags, Jack a tinge of lightness on the palms, and adjusting Aiko's hair highlights to be more waveform-y. small stuff), but here's what you can generally expect the girls to look like!

You might remember me writing out a blurb for these girls a while back going over what their general personalities are like. Hopefully those traits are evident here! The recent crash-and-burn of a certain Overwatch clone is a good example of why it's VERY IMPORTANT for any new thing to have characters that're both easy on the eyes and immediately discernable from one another. Two aspects I paid particular attention to are silhouette and color:

Mona is the protag and vehicle to introduce the audience to all the weirdo inflation stuff that happens at SNR Records, so it makes sense for her outline to be fairly basic. She has a head full of big fluffy hair to break it up from being too monotonous, however. Day is also the most 'neutral' part of the day, which is why I made light-blue her main color.
Naomi has technically existed since 2018 and was originally intended to have that standard "office woman OC" body type of "slightly pudgy with a huge ass". Jacqueline ended up having being the big-wide-hippy one, so I instead opted to make Naomi big overall. The bright sunshine-morning color choice is chosen ironically, since she talks very seriously.
Jacqueline (nicknamed "Jack" because she's a bit tomboyish) is the only one to have a somewhat muted colorscheme- mostly dark purple. Her having the darkest skintone also plays into this. Her role at SNR sees her making most of her impactful decisions in the background- with one episode showing her working well into the night while everyone else has already gone home. Probably the most on-the-nose this motif gets, really.
and Aiko is allowed to have a slightly more convoluted design on account of her being a pop idol. Her having a sunrise aesthetic is similar to Naomi, but played straight. Naomi is hardly a morning person, but Aiko is absolutely the sort of cheery and bubbly person you'd expect to be based around that sort of theming. Notice that her silhouette is literally a heart.
If you've read this far and are so inclined, here's part of the document I sent to Browser when coming up with ideas. You can look at it and go "oh, that's where he got that from", lol.
lastly:
As of this post, I currently have the first episode-and-a-half written. Each episode is currently slated to be around 8 minutes long, or around the same runtime as my non-narrated audios.
You can also expect them to follow a similar story-to-kink ratio as my audios, going something like "setup → expansion scene → conclusion", with Mona's fish-out-of-water arc threading the whole thing together. I'm planning for all four main characters to get at least one dedicated "expansion scene" apiece.
These will mostly be inflation, but if you've been following me for long enough you already know that I like to toy with the character dynamic/physical proportions between scenarios. I try to avoid having stories be boiled down to just "girl gets big" if I can.
There will also be a dedicated stuffing/weight gain episode, but you can probably look at the roster and take a wild guess as to who'll end up with the fat-centric scenario... lol.
----
At my current rate, I should almost certainly have three episodes (if not more) out of the planned six written by the end of September. Future progress logs will probably not be this wordy, but I've just had a lot to unload about what I've been up to. Next post will show off some ideas for the "visual novel"-y format I have in mind! See you soooon.
