The managers thought it was so funny that he was obsessed with me and hed ask for a job there so he could be closer to me. They kept messing with him and telling him to come back in case something opened up. He lived in his van and followed me everywhere and knew when i was opening and closing alone. Long story short, trust your gut. I had no support and was constantly being told that i was overreacting while management was making it worse for their own entertainment. Documentation is key, ive had other stalkers since then and i keep a notes tab for interactions and also message management through text so that theres proof of me reporting an incident. People will belittle and shame you for the terror you are going through

Women (barring medical issues) generally are always capable of starting a family even without a dad present. That isnt the case for men. I've wanted to be and have been ready to be a father since my mid 20's and have communicated that to partners who tell me they want the same then just string me along for years before admitting they never wanted kids. Now I'm almost 40 and childless and theres nothing I can do about that. Ever tried adopting as a single man? lmao yeah right.

(regarding both public figures, and your average citizen) seem to make stalking much easier than over here. I'd imagine, much like the rest of U.S. law, that it varies wildly from state to state, but so much of people's private information (residency, phone number, family etc...) seems to be accessible at the drop of a hat as long as one has an internet connection and a web browser.

2025-07-31 08:59:23 +0000 UTCI've never had a stalker but I would think that for the sake of safety and peace of mind for the Deco employees, putting up a photo (either within eyesight of customers AND employees, or JUST within the employees eyesight) could be a good idea. Also, as QT has mentioned before on Wine About It (I think? It may have been Maya that had a similar story, I can't recall) and mentioned again here, hiring a PI to find a contact their family would be an avenue I would definitely try if I was in her shoes – not only for QT's safety, but for the employee's and stalker's safety too (and anyone else they may hurt, mentally or otherwise). I know how useless the police tends to be in situations like these, (or just how useless they tend to be in general) so I hope that QT's stalker situation is able to be resolved safely soon. It really sucks that being a public figure in any way, especially as a woman, seems to always attract stalkers of some kind. :/

For kids with behavioral problems, apparently one approach that works for some teachers is to give the badly-behaved kids responsibilities. Because nobody ever trusts them with anything, the kids feel the need to step up and meet the new expectations. In general it's still probably a bad idea to trust strangers with Mod status because you never know if someone just has bad intentions and is manipulative. Still pretty amazing that it worked in that one case. And don't apologize for being heavy, I like the peek behind the curtain stuff. I have no idea what the right thing to do is with that one stalker. Putting his face up could also cause other weirdos to harass him, thinking they're exacting justice. It sucks there's no good answer
