The 80/20 rule is the idea that 80% of women are only interested in the most attractive 20% of men. For example, 1 dude going out on 4 dates a week with 4 different women vs 1 dude going on 1 date. So there are 80% of men out there not dating at all or dating the remaining 20% of women. Who knows if this is true or not but there are bell curves out there in regards to dating sites where it shows women's opinions on men and vice versa. Women rate a select few men in the higher echelon whereas men rate more women in that same category. It also kind of leads into that same convo of women starting to outcompete men in higher education. As more men skip higher degrees they aren't seen "as desirable" as men who do attain higher education.
