2024-10-25 17:20:06 +0000 UTCHey, I'm the person who wrote the first story (you can verify my patreon email with the email of the one submitted on the google form), and I just want to give some additional context to the road. It's a 2 lane, with a gravel shoulder as described in the story. But my lane that I was driving down (mostly in control) has a pretty steep hill up (~10 ft high) after the shoulder. The other lane steeply slopes down into a forest after the shoulder. I thought I jumped out of the car immediately, but I was operating off super high adrenaline so I don't know for sure. It is possible that he was real and able to run away, either across the road or up the hill. All I know is that it was silent after I leapt out the car because it helped calm me down. I'm open to either possibility being true. Thanks for enjoying my story at least :)

Same with old stories or memories. Your brain rarely remembers anything exactly as you experienced it, but it'll tell you it does. You'll slowly warp what happened over time as you think you remember it and keep twisting it slightly towards the narrative you want that memory to provide. For a very long period of my childhood, I thought that when I was 6 years old I grabbed a 10 year old bully's arm on the playground, swung him around, and threw him dbz style. I seriously believed it from like 8 to 12 then stopped thinking about it. Then remembered it one day when I was around 16 and told some of my friends but then was so embarrassed realizing how silly it was in hindsight and that it was definitely a dream that felt real. My young mind just didn't know how to parse those thoughts. Mine took the shape of some stupid child power fantasy. Others might take the form of paranormal encounters.

She might’ve said she heard footsteps or saw someone, but ended up calling 911 because she thought someone was in the house. This is all just off what I remember them saying I’m sure someone will know what episode it was!
