Some Vet programs require a full series of rabies vaccinations before you can enter their programs, so I had to get the initial shot followed by a booster after two weeks. They're EXPENSSIIIVEEEE, and usually insurance doesn't cover the preventative rabies, so it cost almost $500 LOL

I had a huge panic attack during the process. After that, you have to get regular arm shot on day 3, 7, and 14. It was brutal, but after a bat encounter and scaring myself shitless with human rabies studies, it was worth it in the end.

The other one is the anti bodies directly, you get that when you got bitten. And opossums Body temp is actually too low for rabies, not too high. I love them so much. Sometimes it can make people’s pain worse. It’s unlikely but sometimes happens. I definitely recommend it if you don’t want to have to wear a mouth nightguard at night and have a lot of pain
