2024-02-15 14:05:23 +0000 UTCI know date standards are for guy to pick up girl, but growing up with all women I always made it a priority (especially for first dates) to make sure they had control of being able to leave if they want (i.e. meeting at a restaurant or at a movie or something) that way if she didn't feel comfortable or date wasn't going well she didn't feel forced to stay or trapped in any way. I didn't want there to be any additional stress for them to worry about. Now that I'm married, I still kind of do this but for us if that makes any sense? Like if meeting other couples or staying over someone's place with a group of people we may not be super close with, I like to make sure I drove us so we can leave at any point if we need to, instead of like meeting up and carpooling (i.e. going to the beach or something like that idk). I just think it's important for women to feel safe and in control because I know dating can be so much scarier for them

They have a chocolate macaroon-esque base, with a layer of custard icing, and topped with chocolate. They're as synonymous with Canada as poutine and maple syrup, at this point. If you're ever up here, you should definitely try them out! Many bakeries and almost all grocery stores across the country sell them :)
