When I used to work at Wells Fargo, we had to start our outgoing phone calls with stating the call may be monitored or recorded. We said it every time because certain states have laws that require you to saying it.

So in QT’s case, regardless of whether it’s “right,” keying his car isn’t petty because your 6+ month boyfriend being a cheating asshole who has betrayed you isn’t trivial. It’s arguably not even an overblown reaction. Honestly, I’d rather have my car keyed than a cheating boyfriend. Keying the car was revenge though. Revenge is retaliation or retribution for harm caused regardless of whether it’s big, small, or to scale with the harm.
