He had already been arrested and had his electronics confiscated for another hack just before this. People also ignore its not just "funny trailer" that was stolen, employee information and documents get stolen as well which is fucking awful for the victims.

They steal employee info, including passports, which is objectively shitty and bad. Its so annoying watching the internet piss and moan when they don't even have 10% of the story. This kid is doing objectively bad things, the corporate losses can be a gray area if you hate corps, but the harm coming to individuals is factually terrible. He can't just be left to do whatever he wants

The kid is apparently autistic and through a pretrial assessment was determined to be unfit for trial because he showed no remorse or ability to understand the consequences of his actions. He was sentenced to "life" in hospital because the court has no way to know how much treatment he requires or if treatment can help him at all. If treatment and therapy help him he could be out in months, in theory, but that's unlikely.

He also claimed he had no remorse and would do it again as soon as he was freed and apparently he was stalking some women too. Developer son just leaked a really short video, as far as I know he wasn't legally punished
