I would be very curious to know your dynamic when it comes to trauma dumping and just venting in general. It can be super draining to hear that stuff all the time, especially if you’re also having a day. Do you guys have safe words when you can listen to it? Or do you ask each other if you can vent? Or is it just always open to dump?

There’s a place where I live in OKC called Red Coyote that does custom fitted running shoes, they have you run on a special machine that takes measurements of your feet and how you run and they are able to pick out the perfect shoe for your feet. I’m sure there is something similar near you if you want to get Ludwig the perfect running shoes

Maya always talks close to the mic, which is fine, but then QT keeps her mic to the side a few inches from her face. It makes Maya like 50% louder than QT, which can be annoying but I guess it’s just habit for them.

going through psychology today to look for a therapist is always so depressing because you think you found a good one and then they don't take insurance 🥲 but i think, whether the first person you find works for you or not, it's always very brave to talk to a therapist. there's a sense of comfortability in just sitting in your pain because working through it is difficult and can be traumatic. i'm still in my little cave of comfortability right now because the dread of having to open myself like that is nauseating. so i applaud everyone here who is working through their stuff!! i'm proud of you! (even if that probably doesn't mean much from a stranger)

I don't know if Ludwig is into arts & crafts but if he is you could try some traditional japanese arts together for his birthday like "Ikebana"(making flower arangements), "Kintsugi"(mending broken pottery) or maybe try your hands at "sado"(traditional japanese tea ceremony). All of these are also quite a bit philosophical. Won't make for a great YouTube Video but they are still super interesting and fun activities.

On the running shoe thing: Would recommend taking him to a local running store. They'll do some analysis on foot arches and gait to determine the specific type of shoe. Probably from ASICS, Saucony, Brooks, maybe a handful of others.

As someone born in raised in Florida you were pretty on point with the naming for Weeki Wachee Springs. A lot of tourists get confused with place names in Florida like Micanopy or Okeechobee or Caloosahatchee but I think it's pretty cool native names are still so common here.

As a man that is a similar height and body size to Zoil, just gonna say it's not our height that everyone stares at. It's our weight. Everywhere I go I'm constantly having to navigate a thin person's world with my giant body. Hey QT, I was a running specialist for a sporting goods store for several years and have run about a dozen half marathons (and shorter races) over the last 10 years. If you're looking for a good pair of running shoes for Ludwig you might check out the Mizuno Wave Rider. It's a great line for general foot strike patterns (so it's likely to work well for him not knowing his running stride/strike) and Mizuno is a Japanese company (so he's gotta love it... right?). The Asics Kayano line is also a great general option too and they're known for their running shoes specifically. Either way good luck with the gifting. My wife tells me I am incredibly hard to buy for as well so she sends her sympathies.
