Holy crap guys, I just realized that this January is the 5 year anniversary of when I quit my day job and decided to become a full time furry artist!
I could not have done it without all your help; your watches, favorites, shares, likes, commissions and of course patreon support has kept the roof over my head and food in my cupboards so I could focus on my art and stories.
Having this job has allowed me to practice creating art every day, so I have been able to develop my talents. I feel I have improved so much, and I never would have had the time or energy to do this if I had to work another job.
My stories would never be told, The Stable wouldn't exist, all the art I have created over the last 5 years would not exist. I would have likely eventually given up on art after years of stagnation, That was the direction I was heading in before I took a risk and decided to pursue this full time.
I am so fucking grateful! This is my dream job; I'm an Artist! A comic Artist! Literally my childhood dream. This job allows me to live the lifestyle I want, with flexibility to make other commitments in my life such as volunteer work and farming.
None of this would be possible without all of you lovely people's support! <3 <3 <3
The picture above is a pin-up of a stallion I created January 2015 when I first started to pursue furry art full time, and below is the digital painting I did of Zoey this Christmas. I like the comparison between these two because both are done as personal pieces of characters I created. One was done because I desperately needed updated art in my gallery as I was unable to attract enough commissioners, and the other was done as a bonus Christmas illustration to celebrate The Stable's success!
What a great juxtaposition!
Anyway originally I did not plan on sharing that Zoey illustration with my wider audience outside of patreon as I do like to produce lots of content just for you guys, but gosh darn it, I really want to share this magical moment with *all* my fans, 5 years! That's something! I hope you guys understand. <3
Anyway, special thanks to you lovely furry, scaly, feathery beasts here on patreon, you guys give me the stability I need to write my stories and the time to turn them into my favorite format; comics. Really, truly, from the bottom of my heart; Thank you!!! <3 <3 <3
I hope you all have an amazing 2020, and here's to 5 more years! Or maybe 20! Who knows! :D
Much Love
