She does, but at the same time, she'd rather invest in something that could also protect others in the same manner. It's deep in her psyche. If she can choose between a personal upgrade for her body, and one that would allow her to shelter, say, children within, she'll go for the latter every time. That said, Tinea's going to be on the ball. She's grown up with the intrinsic understanding that the final line of defense of any person is always going to be their own body. This is part of what feeds into her easy willingness for self-modification, her lack of care about (even severe) injuries, and of course, her rather developed reflexes.
