oh well, i kind of felt that Too will be at the bottom after the last episode although in my personal ranking they were higher. I liked every performance and I was surprised what they did with the given songs. Maybe because I do not know girl group songs that much, I liked the Verivery performance less then the others. Although the arrangement was great, the idea , concept etc. But the song itself wasn't mine. If TOO performed it,I think I would have seen them last. So my ranking only for the second part is 1. Pentagon and The Boyz (they did great, I liked it more then the original song) 3. TOO, 4. ONF and Oneus and 6. Verivery. I totally agree with you about the K-Pop Industry. What makes me angry is that the kids are debuting too early. With 14,15 they should be at school and not promoting their albums 20 hours a day. Best example : The Wind 4 of 6 members are 14-16. What will happen to them, when they not succeed? And lately there are many mistreatment cases. It's a hard topic. I try to see the positive sides of it right now, but I am fully aware that there are many things happening behind the scenes that are not so good.

2023-08-13 02:36:35 +0000 UTCI agree with you, the industry is horrible. We want to support the artists, because we love them, but supporting the artist means supporting the industry, this is hard... If I remember correctly I think Pentagon went to the hospital a lot during RTK, and it was probably the same for other groups... RTK helped a lot of these groups to get more recognition, and it was definitely the case for ONF. I think they would have disbanded if things had not improved after the show. Now I can't wait for their comeback after military enlistment! Also Pentagon and ONF are still very close and support each other a lot. Fun fact : Yuto from Pentagon and U (Yuto) from ONF trained together at JYP, and I think Twice mentioned that they were called tall Yuto and small Yuto 😊

2023-08-10 14:55:20 +0000 UTCI don't have too much to talk about the performance here, I will say the ranking for this round (not the accumulation points one) match pretty much with my ranking : 1) ONF 2) THE BOYZ 3-4) VERIVERY / ONEUS [might have liked ONEUS more I think] 5) PENTAGON 6) TOO I know a lot of people didn't agree with PENTAGON so low, I personally wasn't that much into PENTAGON performance because I feel like the arrangement doesn't hit me that much or I'm not into it but it's just personal preference at this point because the performance as a whole was great if we take dancing/singing/concept. I remember when people ratioed his announcement at KCON. He is mostly disliked because how he is mismanaging his groups, a good example right now is CIIPHER. It was a group supposed to be the 2nd chance for most of the members because they had gone through survival shows, failed debutation, disbandment but Rain completely mismanaged them even after one of the member became popular following the show BOYS PLANET. A lot also don't like how he always put himself first and insert himself like for example with CIIPHER, when they go to a show, he is always here and they always end up in the background. I think MBLAQ fans also have problem with him but I don't know the full story Funny Story? Even ONF fans ended up not liking him, during ONF comeback (Beautiful Beautiful), they should have had their episode of Weekly Idol diffused at a certain date but it mysteriously got pushed just for Rain episode to be put at this date. I know it made noise among Koreans Netizens too on some sites, they criticized him and Weekly Idol because it wouldn't have happened if they were more popular artists So as much as, he did released legendary performance/song etc, now he isn't as liked as he was before One of the ONF fans I follow on Twitter was part of the online voting at least for the round "MY SONG" but most of the fans were Koreans or living in Korea I think. Global fans had the streaming and the voting after the episode if I'm not wrong? Someone mentionned, a lot of this final songs have some kind of MVs : - ONEUS made a MV for COMEBACK HOME - ONF have a performance video for NEW WORLD (the camerawork is crazy I want to throw up, also in the snippet I think they put two part who aren't after the others) - PENTAGON have a performance video for BASQUIAT - VERIVERY promoted BEAUTIFUL X on music show but no MVs - I think CHECKMATE ended up as a Bside for THE BOYZ For the live performance during the final, I'm not sure if everyone is singing live but if I remember, PENTAGON had some live vocal I think, ONF I caught some live because the rapper Wyatt (the one always extra) added a sentence who wasn't in the official release but I don't know for the others. Honestly it's sad ROAD TO KINGDOM don't have that much live. As a fan of ONF, I definitely can tell you, it's so much more fun when they are doing it live, you have members like Wyatt and MK adding adlibs/making it way more fun for the public. I love how Wyatt always hype the crowd. I saw PENTAGON live so I can definitely said that live they are so good, I had such a blast during MIK Festival, it would have been even more crazy if Jinho/Hui were here

2023-08-09 07:37:54 +0000 UTCI was stunned Pentagon got 5th in this round so then only 3rd over all going into the finale but as at the time a new fan to ONF I was so happy for them! Since RTK didnt get to have unit challenges like Queendom and Kingdom did highlighting different skills I was happy Hui made a finale performance for the vocalists cause while all groups are amazing performers they got some killer vocalists. I think most singles from this show end up as b-sides on the groups next album but from what I remember most of they had performance MV's that came out as well.

Any time that awful news comes out that we lose someone in it especially....it makes it hard because the confliction in it really hits me. I love KPOP, but I also want everyone to take care of themselves and their mental health. I hate the stigmas, I hate they have no privacy, I hate the KPOP molds they are made to "fit", I hate the poor treatment some companies give. The only hope I see is some companies who appear to treat their groups above and beyond and not have these strict rules. I think KQ with ATEEZ is one and I also think A.C.E with Beat Interactive is another and they appear to be amazing companies, but...I don't truly know. I don't see the behind scenes and everything. I at least see they let their members look how they want (tanned skin...their weight, hair style preferences etc.) and take the necessary breaks they need. It truly is a love hate relationship though with the industry overall.
