This was a tiring week. It started out with the head fuzzies and I spent a whole bunch of it fixing an massive amount of grammatical mistakes. I really have to thank dborg2, who has just about closed up a grammar and bug pass of the entire game, all two hundred thousand words of it. That is almost three full length novels. I'm incredibly thankful to them.
I appreciate everyone who gives me bug reports but sometimes people just go above and beyond.
But as for actual new content. Head fuzzies and interruptions threw a bit of a wrench into the works. I didn't quite get everything out that I wanted too, but I did finish up Lina's C3 progression scene. Yes you could have progressed her last week but I just consider that an alternate scene. And we all like having more than one way to do things.
There was also the missing section of the Cassidy scene and I banged my head against it for a solid day or two. I just couldn't make it work. The world of Cabin by the Lake operates by certain rules. A lot of these are simple things, Lin and Carla have impossibly smooth skin, some events don't show up in the guide and you can't beat Lisa without literal supernatural help.
This scene called for that supernatural help but I just couldn't find a way to insert it. Rather than just keep bashing my head against it, I've disabled it and moved on. Which is a little silly as this morning I had an idea of how to do it... but all up I was half way through another scene by then.
This just about closes up Lina. She's been a lot of fun, and it's required a lot of overhauls of other systems to get through. There will be little bits worming their way through for a few weeks still no doubt, but I'm satisfied with what we've ended up with. It does need a bit of consolidation though...
But the next bit is going to be about putting a present inside Alex. Her turn has been skipped a little bit and it's time we show her some love.
So... as for my other interruptions. It was ANZAC day this week and my family does stuff for that. It's basically our veterans day for those who don't know. Australia certainly has a big 'ol pile of problems, but I am still proud of my country and this is the main thing I do to show that.
The rest of this developer log will be a recipe for ANZAC cookies, which are full of oats and creamy and delicious:
Preheat oven to 160c
Brown your butter (cook in pan until it goes brown and smells nutty)
Mix your dry ingredients together
Separate bowl, Mix your wet ingredients
Combine your ingredients
Turn into cookies and bake for 16 minutes
Either shove the molten mess directly into your face and get mouth burns, or let them sit for 10 minutes to firm up, I don't really care, both are good options.
I hear there are some people who prefer crunchy ANZAC biscuits but they are heretics and probably come from Sydney.
