Dev Log 0.13b: The Jiggling

First things first, it Preview Release time! Also this picture is almost entirely unrelated to the weeks content... it is new, but it's more included as a bug fix.

After that the new content! I was actually quite excited that both Carla and Sami were basically tied. The reason for that is because... as this weeks scenes show, while the progression isn't necessarily tied together, they are very interlinked. Firstly you'll need to get three Concern for Carla by friday night, not necessarily easy, but it is one of those things that as content grows will become easier. Currently the path for this is to tell her that girls are hot when you arrive and there is now concern available when interacting with Jenny during dinner.

This will unlock a scene in your room after dinner... where people are plotting things. Whether you see the scene or not it still happens, which Sami will now tell you how to unlock the results of this...

There were a few other things that I did but they are covered by the changelogs you'll see when you see it. But this Sami scene... it's on the larger side of things...

The guide is a complicated piece of work, every choice or branch has it's own variable all hiding in an ever growing array. I gave these a code when I was creating them so it would make sense. Choices and branches are given numbers, so if you've got two choices you've got SceneName1 and SceneName2. Then if you've got another branch after that you chain them together like a love check after choosing SceneName1... this will give us SceneName11 and SceneName12.

Then sometimes you've got scenes where the previous choices are referenced and such but the two choices meet back together, these are given an underscore. So if after that love check the two choices re-converge and there is another check you get SceneName_1 and SceneName_2. And it continues on from that, not a perfect system but it serves almost every use case and is easy to read.

Why am I telling you this? To go back to that Sami scene, the guide isn't built yet but it's choices have been coded... allow me to introduce you to:

SceneName1_ _1322 and it's buddy SceneName1_ _ _ _1_21

Still... I like the scene and had a lot of fun writing it.

Anyway, I've always got more to say but I don't think anyone made it past that guide talk...
