Dev Log 0.07a: Spies and Suckers
Added 2022-03-03 15:40:52 +0000 UTCSo this week... How many of you are familiar with the term rabbit hole as it pertains to coding? It is when you get so caught up in a problem that you get stuck in a hole and just can't get yourself out, instead you just keep going deeper and deeper.
This week that is one of the many things that happened to me. I had designed a system that was really cool and allowed for some fantastic interactions. Of course if you triggered this you created a bug so specific and weird that it appeared for all intents impossible also it breaks the game more than a little. Of course nothing is actually impossible, it's always something you've done, it's just a matter of finding it. Or alternatively finding out JUST WHY WONT IT FIX ITSELF EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHERE IT IS! Anyway... between the finest minds of F95, the Renpy discord and one girl's delusional midnight googling we finally managed to get it solved.
So that was about 2 hours ago...
Suffice to say I didn't have a huge amount of time for content and I just couldn't come up with anything that was even near a complete scene. I did however comb through the list of minor bugs that have been piling up and I fixed all them as well as did the guide content for last week. I also did a whole bunch of changes to fix up Haily so she now works a lot more as intended during her C1.
Also I may have uploaded the wrong files for the release last week about 4 different times. So it was one of those super productive weeks were nothing really gets actually done.
I did make a nice picture of Cassidy for you though. Seemed fitting, I bet this was all her fault anyway so it was only right to stuff her in a bunny suit.
