Public Release 0.04c: 69 Sub Special

Well it's that time of week again! And it's a public one too boot.

So whats new in this version? A solid chunk of guide content, a solitary fix, I finished android and there was one tiny scene that is actually plot related. I know right? Plot, I almost forgot to put that in there. You wont learn much of relevance, but I feel good knowing it's there. Beyond that I started about 3 different scenes and I just wasn't feeling any of them. In future they may be scrapped or I may finish them, not sure. Regardless it's been a good week for development I feel despite the fact that I also went off the Christmas break.

Also I put a password on the Debug Cheats, not to keep you out of it, just to see if it annoys anyone who can't read. It even only asks you once and everything, so the password is:

I'll take it off in the next build, not entirely sure what I want to do with that area in the long run anyway. I doubt I'll remove it, it's not like it encourages unfun play. Maybe I'll become one of those people who does a patreon paywall for the cheat codes, then everyone leaks it anyway and I'm just like eh... But that reminds me there are two things I wanted to talk about.

Firstly the roadmap of the game for the immediate future. Now that I'm clearing up the backlog of tasks that were much larger than they seemed, IE: the guide (I would say it now has at most two weeks left) I can move onto other tasks. Similarly I previously did a poll to see which character would get progress and Haily won, while I'm not entirely happy with how that rolled out given the guide came and gobbled all the dev time, with the BE scene and her general progress I feel it's about time to have another poll, once again probably in a week or two. Similarly I had promised some BE stuff and I've done that, it wont be the last BE stuff I do, I mean we all like it, but I consider the promise I made fulfilled (Although I may expand out into plowing super titty monster Alex animation if it doesn't have ridiculous clipping issues). You'll note I'm big on keeping my promises.

But now that all the previous promises are wrapping up it allows me to make new and shinier promises! Which I'm not making here but if you randomly ask for stuff, well you never know what might happen. Anyway the roadmap, Beyond just movie back to having more scene content per update (ideally I'd like to get back to at least two scenes a week). Then the next big ticket item is going to be a complete rebuild of the end of run interface. It's currently moderately shit and I'd like to fix that, after that the next items of relevance will be fixing up the other smaller guides and hint systems to make them also work better and more intuitively.

After that I'm considering updating the patreon tiers and the first thing I'm going to say here is that no one who is a current supporter will go backwards in any way. Anyone who is currently a patron or signs up before I do any updates (Once again in a couple of weeks) will maintain their existing tier in an unaltered fashion with no changes, but people wont be able to sign up for that tier anymore. Over these past months both I and Cabin by the Lake have grown and I feel I'm now more capable of supporting a more standard model (probably delayed public releases). As with many things I welcome public feedback, you've all been incredibly supporting of me as a new developer and I value your opinions and this is still moderately hypothetical. In case your wondering, I have no plans to change weekly releases, I work well in this format.

Anyway, thats enough waffling, here's a random pic. This one is one of the scenes that I just couldn't get right, just some normal dialogue but it's time the older generation got some love (from a dev standpoint at this stage anyway). This is NOT in the game yet.
