Taking a Break

Hey there,

I'm sure you've already noticed that there wasn't any updates on here as of late.
The last year has been a wonderful experience, stepping further into my creative work and sharing it with you, having opportunities open up and work with so many lovely people - but it can also be quite exhausting and challenging and it seems to finally have caught up with me.

Sustaining yourself on art can be difficult balance between doing what you're passionate about and doing what puts food on the table. As the last months have shown, I still have to put a big emphasis on the latter, which is nothing unusual in the beginning, but still fairly draining.

I wanted this patreon to be a chance to show more of what happens behind the scenes especially in times where I'm not able to share anything official on social media, while also helping me ease some of those financial burdens with the support by those who care about what I do and are willing and able to support in that matter - but even this has been a challenge lately. I'm having a hard time sitting down and doing as much as even uploading things I already have on hand, which truly made my inner alarm go off.

I hoped with taking a little breather behind the scenes for a short while I could ease some of that tension and blockage that crept up. And then to simply jump right back into for the little deadlines I set myself for extra content like the calendar posts, polls and WIPs at the end of the month. But one month turned into two and the increasing mental load of not delivering even there is not helping the matter I'm afraid, which is why I'm taking things one step further now by doing it the official way, as much as it pains me.

Because really, I can only say a big THANK YOU to everyone of you who decided to join this little corner, who's interested to see what I do and feeling it's worth the coin to spare in my direction, which truly helped me out. I feel absolutely honored that you decided to support me in that way, some from the start, some for a short while and some only recenlty. Every way is appreciated - which is why I don't want this to become a one-sided matter without anything in return.
I put a pause on the billing for the upcoming month and likely will do so for the rest of the year, so I can take a much needed (mental) breather without feeling like I'm letting people down in the process, hopefully starting this patreon anew and fresh at the beginning of next year!

Again, thank you for everyone who stayed around up to now and I hope to see you all once I'm able to jump back in the game. if not here, then maybe in some corner of the internet.
