Step-by-Step (4): Location Hunt and Referencing
Added 2022-11-23 19:47:44 +0000 UTCThis is a WIP that's part of the "Hinata Special" Minisieries, a total of four images that I have planned around the day Hinata takes Tobio out to Port Dickson in the first Act of "The Job".
Since Essie chose real locations it's a fun challenge for me to stay true to the story and scout images as reference that show the real locations present in the story, like I did in the past for the Restaurant of the Grand Hyatt. Since there's no clear route for how Hinata drove the two of them to Port Dickson I had the liberty to do a little google maps tour and look for places that look suitable.
Not only does this sort of location hunt help me get a feel for the area and its look, it also helps me with sorting out my composition and backdrop for a drawing. And for those familiar with the place, it might even be somewhat recognizable, which is a fun addition!

I absolutely LOVE to dive into the accuracy for pieces! I'm already so particular with details, it only seems logical to also pay attention to how they fit, especially when there's actual source material😊
