Why Did the DCEU Sequels Fail?

This video was made in line with the SAG/WGA guidelines and is not a promotion of struck work; it is a work of critical analysis surrounding the DCEU.

The superhero movies and shows that have been released in the last two years have all displayed how thier creators truly did not understand why the previous installments were successful. A prime example is chris Carter, creator of the X-files, for reasons unknown it seems like he forgot why his show was so popular in the first place. George Lucas is another example, another case of creative memory loss. I don't know what happens to creative people over time but it would seem that they genuinely forget why people loved thier first few projects and proceed to make things that no one wants to see lol

Shazam 1 was brilliant, so it's sad that Shazam 2 lacks the emotion and close relationships of the first movie. Also - you're right! Mirror Mirror is such a good Snow White movie! It has so many funny moments. I used to watch a few scenes from it at my old job years ago during lunch breaks because it was on and a lot of people liked that movie. I should see if I can buy it and watch it on YouTube.
