Especially I only had very vague notions of racial dynamics in Brazil, but also can't seriously say I've given much thought to colorism in media as an issue (...I am cishet white dude) -if you didn't tell me that was storm I'd have thought it was some alternative universe version of rogue that they based on the movie version where they took they just took the negative of her hair and otherwise just like, ran with it. seriously profile in that screenshot...is a dead ringer for anna paquin? and this is supposed to be storm??? (I have just double-checked and it looks like House of X has continued the trend, though it isn't...this) -'and have allowed their pain to be nourishment for our progress' - this was an *especially* poignant line that I think went straight to the heart of not just why this is something we should care about, but why it struck a chord for you. Thank you for sharing it with us -(fwiw I think the demonyn is Arab, and Arabic is a language? But this may have changed/I could be wrong. And ofc point remains. It has always been rather strange to me that not a one of the al-Ghuls is an Arab or North African) -production values very nice with the animations/transitions, audio levels, little music bits--it is appreciated! -(fwiw I also think the 'structured rant' works for you) -thanks again!
