I am currently disputing a claim that has the finished version of this video w/ the credits blocked EVERYWHERE. But I figured that you guys would still want to see it and I figure if there is any feedback or tweaks I can make you can let me know before it goes live ~whenever~ with credits.

I didn't know that about how Percy Jackson was first conceived, that's really cool and heartwarming.

Very relevant points in queer representation! I'd also like to mention Rick Riordan with his Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus/Trials of Apolo/Magnus Chase series for representation, not only queer but in general. He is a cishet white man, sure, but Percy Jackson was first conceived as a way to have his son, who has ADHD, see himself represented as the hero in the stories he loves, and Riordan has definitely sought out to expand that legacy a lot, with characters of color and native characters and queer and genderqueer characters all taking important roles in his stories. Solangelo was the first canonical queer rep I remember reading in book series I've loved for years and I absolutely adore them. Riordan is also helping build a platform so that other people can launch their own stories and contribute to diversity in YA literature, and that is so important to me, both because Percy Jackson has been a favorite of mine since I was 12 but because I see myself in a lot of these characters

Nah I'm probably not going to get into fandom, I just want to watch the show, but I don't love the writing so far

i mean, i have fun with teen wolf the show, but the fandom was...a mess when I was active in it. idk how involved you wanna get in the fandom side of things (and it depends on your own feelings about the characters and their dynamics) but i find the show still fun and since scott is a personal fav character of mine i only vaguely engage with the pro-scott side of things

Oh noooo I only just started Teen Wolf last week! 😱 But otherwise I really enjoyed this video and the Clexa shoutout (and I’m not sure if I’m committing to Teen Wolf yet anyway...should I keep going? Someone please tell me). Agreed that Willow and Tara’s relationship turned abusive towards the end (tho I still love them) but my biggest problem with the Willow coming out arc has always been the bi-erasure.

one question i have is why did you disagree with GLAAD not including hustlers or john wick 3 since ive never seen with of those things and would like a bit of context :)

I ache for LGBTQ+ representation in Star Wars! We got one character in the movies (Commander D’Acy I love you so much!!) but her kiss with her partner was like a second and I almost missed it. We got Doctor Aphra in the comics, who just got her own audio play, but I’m worried for the future of Star Wars I’m really hoping that with all the new material Disney is going to be pumping out that will have defined and established queer representation. Sidenote: I love the references to Deep Space Nine! Your videos are so amazing! I’ve been binge watching your channel. β€οΈπŸ’œπŸŒˆ

Omg so excited for this video! Thank you for making this!! ❀️🌈

That’s an excellent point! I will do that in the future for sure and try to edit in a version with spoiler alert 🚨

I love it! Thank you for making this video, it's dear to my heart. My suggestion: list what shows the video will have spoilers for at the start, so people can avoid if they want.
