Among a certain subset, however, word had gotten out about the effects of the caves mysterious waters. Tourists wanting to get away from it all, to return to a simpler time and a new life…tourists of that kind were not dissuaded by the simple signs. Those tourists made their way deep into the caves, past the signs, the tight spots, the water and the mud, to find a beautiful headwater, a place of significant beauty, and a place for a renewed life away from all that civilization had built. Entry here was not without price, however. The change was different for each woman, different in extent, pacing, feel, and type, but all found themselves renewed. Shedding their old lives, old bodies, and their desire to return to the surface world, one could say the signs were in fact fairly accurate…”
