Otter Update
Added 2020-10-20 09:38:08 +0000 UTCAdded in fur and did a bunch of other stuff. Actually, now with all that done it kind of looks like a chipmunk. I might have made a chipmunk?
I'm curious what you guys think of this one. I feel like the really cartoony style kind of clashes with the particle fur and makes it look a little odd. What do y'all think?
Anyway, not sure why I made that model, but now I have it I guess. I did learn some interesting things along the way, for example while playing around I discovered a way to make fur shine look a little better. I always learn something, so making a model is never a waste, even if I have no plans to do anything with them, like this one.

2020-10-20 19:43:27 +0000 UTCThe fur naturally adds a bit of bulk since it sticks up from the surface, so that might be why it's looking a bit better to you. They did technically get a bit thicker. :P A lot of people seem to actually like the little critter. I've been kind of resistant to particle based fur from the start, so maybe it just naturally rubs me the wrong way a little. On FA the reaction seemed fairly positive. I dunno, maybe we'll see her again for something! Thanks! :3

2020-10-20 13:53:13 +0000 UTCI generally am a fan of a little stylization, bit yeah, this is a little more cartoony than I normally go in for. I think yes, the highly detailed fur feels a bit off on the model.

2020-10-20 13:30:06 +0000 UTCSo this is interesting. I originally thought the legs were too skinny from the knees down, but with fur it kind of changed my mind. I dont know how but it did, ha. I think it looks just fine now ^^ And I'm also going to rock the boat and not side with the majority in that I think the fur looks fan-freaking-tastic, with the toony style, too. When I opened this and saw it was a raised-eyebrows moment of 'whoa' because it looked so good. It's long enough to have a bit of flow without being so long as to be poofy or a strange thing to find on an otter, and gives the model a lot more depth (which might be why the legs look better to me, too). Either way, I'm glad you're getting to experiment more! I think you did a great job on this little critter!
