Goldfinger is the best of the Sean Connery films and one of if not THE best 007 films of all.

"Zero, Zero, Seven!"
Oh sweet summer child.
OMG, watching this decades later, I winced when 007 put the beretta on the desk and basically swept the muzzle over M. Kids, that's called improper safety protocol and that's how accidents happen. If we assume 007 knew that, he basically just threatened his boss.
Limey is what US service members call Brits and Yank or Yankee is what the British service members call us. A tradition that goes back to before World War 1. Once they were insults, but I have only ever used or heard them used as terms of endearment between allies.
Poison is toxic if ingested or absorbed through the skin, venom is toxic if injected though a bite or stinger. They are mostly considered synonyms in common usage.
A clay pigeon is a clay disc used for target practice with shotguns. You saw some being used in The Time Traveler's Wife.
Quarrel points his gun at Honey on the beach, finger on the trigger. The weapon handling in this film is criminal.
I do love that 007 uses sound tactics throughout the story. Even when evading the dogs, he keeps them moving in the water so the dogs can't get their scent except from downwind. Someone on the set of this film had survival training.
Great reaction, Biss, thanx.

He was calling her "Honey" because that was her name. Honey Ryder, not as a term of endearment. :P

"Limey" is an informal, sometimes disparaging, American slang term for a British person, particularly a sailor. Originating in the late 19th century as "lime-juicer," it refers to the British Royal Navy's practice of issuing lime juice to sailors to prevent scurvy. It is often used colloquially today

As far as the actors are concerned without a doubt watch the movies staring sean Connery, pierce brosnon, and Daniel Craig in that order. I can't recommend the others because I don't think the other actors are any good at acting. Just being honest and straightforward

Hi Bisscute 😀 From San Antonio Texas USA 😀 Wonderful reaction and analysis and commentary 😀👍
Here are a couple inquiries that you were wondering about in the movie...
Sean Connery's height 188 cm
"Being like a clay pigeon" implies being a target, often in a precarious, vulnerable, or rapidly moving situation, likely to be "shot at" or criticized. It represents a fragile, fleeting, or high-stakes scenario where, like a flying, brittle disc in a shooting sport, one is meant to be broken or "hit".
Vulnerability: Similar to a clay pigeon being hurled from a trap, this phrase describes a moment of high exposure.
Targeting: It often metaphorically refers to being a scapegoat, the focus of criticism, or in a high-pressure, competitive situation where you are meant to fail or be taken down.
Fragility: Just as clay targets are fragile and break easily upon impact, it can describe a state of being emotionally or socially fragile.
Speed/Suddenness: It signifies a situation that happens quickly, unpredictably, and often without control.
Action/Reaction: It suggests a "sink or swim" scenario, similar to the fast-paced nature of clay pigeon shooting, where you are a passive participant in a rapidly changing event.
In essence, it suggests a, "thrown into the deep end," scenario where you are expected to be broken or tested, often to your detriment.
Here is my list in order to watch the James Bond series...
All of the Sean Connery James Bond movies...
Dr. No (1962) - Sets the high bar, defining the action genre for decades to follow.
From Russia With Love (1963) - Solidifies the franchise with a spy-thriller focus and a classic villain chase.
Goldfinger (1964) - Features the most iconic villain, gadgets, and imagery in the franchise.
Thunderball (1965) - Showcases the early era at its biggest with elaborate, high-budget underwater action scenes.
You Only Live Twice (1967) - Introduces the iconic volcanic lair of the villain Blofeld, showcasing 60s sci-fi style.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) - A reappraised, humanized installment featuring George Lazenby, significant for its emotional depth, intense action, and unique story.
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) - The best Roger Moore entry, perfectly blending humor and high-stakes action with iconic sets and the villain Jaws.
The Living Daylights (1987) - Timothy Dalton's debut, introducing a harder-edged, more book-accurate Bond, stepping away from the campier tone of the era.
GoldenEye (1995) - Pierce Brosnan's first, successfully modernizing the franchise for the post-Cold War era with high-tech action and the first female M.
Casino Royale (2006) - The perfect reboot, Daniel Craig’s debut offers a gritty origin story focusing on character development over excessive gadgets.
Skyfall (2012) - A modern masterpiece, often cited as the best, blending personal story with iconic of spectacle, marking the franchise's 50th anniversary.
I believe this will give you a sample of each of the Bond actors and then you can choose which one you like.
Thank you for all your hard work and I appreciate you so much. Have a great day and God bless you with much love and prayers for strength and good health bye bye 😀👍💪❤️✔️

Miss Moneypenny is a lot like you, Princesa! Easy on the eye, astute, equipped with an irresistible charm and a cute, wicked sense of humour!
This was very enjoyable Biss - muchas gracias! 🌹❤️
Biss, they use clay pigeons for target practice, hence the reference.
Out of all James Bond actors George Lazenby is the only one who never appeared in a Western movie or Western TV show!

Ive been quite bad to follow the bond serie, so i don't dare to recommend some over the other. I let someone far more knowing than me on this matter. Ive always liked this movie with the legendary Sean Connery, it gives something of a old days spy cozy feeling. And yes the way to die for poor Dr No. After you seen the Chernobyl serie, you know what he can expect. Looking forward to next one!
