Jovie, Buddy's girlfriend/wife is played by Zooey Deschanel, who is very much still alive. The girl in "Bring It On" who I think you are referring to is the Missy character is played by Eliza Dushku, who is also very much still alive. What I think you are referring to is Alicia Silverstone movie "Clueless" who the main character had a stoner friend named Tai, played by Brittany Murphy, who is very much dead. I believe she actually die of Pneumonia.

Though I am not a huge fan of Will Ferrell, I have to admit I did enjoy the movie. One movie I do love of his is Stranger Than Fiction. He is actually very good in it. I highly recommend it.

Hey, Dearest Biss, if someone would have told you just a week or two ago that you’d get BOTH a Jim Carrey and Will Farrell movie and you’d enjoy BOTH of them, how strongly would you have bet against that proposition?

You said somewhere that you liked cheerleader movies, so I’ll assume you’ve seen ‘Bring It On.’ ‘Buddy’s’ girlfriend/wife was, I believe, Kirsten Dunst’s characters little stoner friend she took under her wing. Very sad story for her. She passed relatively shortly after this. I think drugs may have been involved but I’m not 100% certain. Certainly a life cut too short

The manager in the Department Store was one of ‘Shane Falco’s’ guards. One of the brothers. The one, actually, that shot out ‘Martel’s’ car windows

You took the words right out of my mouth. He also plays ‘Happy,’ ‘Tony Stark’s’ body man and best friend

Biss, you may remember Jon Favreau (the director of this film, and played the doctor who tells Walter that Buddy is his son) as, among other roles & films, Danny Bateman, the super-energetic police officer you liked in the American football film "The Replacements"
