How the Grinch Stole Christmas 2000 Full Reaction

It was one of Seuss' gifts: He could make up a word that you was NOT a word, but you still knew exactly what it meant.

thanks for audio

Close, it's actually a Z and not an S at the front. Interestingly, it was his choice to embrace the English "Soose" version, thought I'm not sure why. That's likely to explain why history never corrected the mispronunciation.

David Collins

I don't like Jim Carrey either, nor most of his movies. That being said, I kinda like Grinch, but "Liar Liar" is still one of the absolute funniest movies I've ever seen.

Hi Bisscute 😊 from San Antonio Texas USA 😊 Kerbobble... Kerbobble" isn't a standard English word, but it sounds like a playful mashup of "kerfuffle," "bobble," and "cobble," suggesting a state of being mixed up, jumbled, or slightly messy/bumpy, often used humorously or in creative contexts like Dr. Seuss (where similar nonsensical words appear). Think of things being "kerbobbled" as being a bit all over the place or in a crazy mix. Likely Meaning: A silly, mixed-up, or jumbled state. Root Words: Kerfuffle: A commotion or fuss. Bobble/Bobbly: Something that's lumpy, bumpy, or slightly messed up (like yarn). Cobble: To put together roughly or clumsily. Example Usage (Imagined): "My brain feels all kerbobbled after that long meeting!" or "The old quilt was all kerbobbled with different patches".  The Grinch Vocabulary Flashcards - Quizlet kerbobbled. adj. mixed together in a crazy sort of way. When is the screen of Ron Howard came up as the Director you sort of stare at that as you have reacted with two of his movies Apollo 13 and A Beautiful Mind. Thank you for all your hard work and I appreciate you so very much. Have a great day and God bless you with much love and prayers for strength and good health bye-bye 😊👍💪❤️

I’m prepared to be corrected but Ron Howard also directed ‘Apollo 13.’ I’m sure Clint Howard played a sweaty nerd scientist laboring to bring the crew home

The Mayor’s lackey, the guy who cut his own hair to match the Mayor’s haircut after the Grinch scalped the Mayor is Clint Howard, the Director Ron Howard’s brother.

Back me up, Kev, Ms Biss simply MUST have S’mores fixings for ‘Sandlot,’ no?

Lamar Smith

Or watch the animated 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas,' with the Grinch voiced by, from memory, Bela Lugosi. I'm sure there's no few Biss fans that would adore her to watch the traditional twosome of 'Grinch' and 'A Charlie Brown Christmas.' They always ran on TV back to back and were a HUGE part of many family's Christmas celebration. Each 30 minutes. As well, as far as classics go, make it a 3-fer and do 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.'

Lamar Smith

Ok, here's the weird thing. ALL of the English speaking world knows him as 'Dr. SOOS' Unfortunately, it's a German name and it would most properly be pronounce''Dr SOYCE'

Lamar Smith

BTW, The Mayor was played by the same actor who was 'Christian's' cellie in 'The Accountant.'

Lamar Smith

Precious Biss, after you get settled in your new place would you PLEASE get a P.O. Box or some such? At some point I’ll do ‘The Sandlot’ and you MUST have S’mores fixings. There’s a ton of other things like that I can think of.

Biss is always charming and has a wonderful heart for Christmas and people in general, but it just doesn't always show. It's always a joy to watch her react to Christmas-themed movies, where she can express the spirit of the season with smiles, laughter, and the celebration of redemption. As much as I enjoy attending her Christmas streams, I hope a movie like this will inspire her to realize she hasn't outgrown the joy of spending time with her family at Christmas. I'm not a big fan of Jim Carey in general. I think anyone could have played this role in this classic tale, and it would have been good. There was that one instance when he tried to scare Cindy Lou, and the old, awkward Ace Ventura made a presence; you can actually see the grimace on Biss's face. But overall, he delivered an inspired performance, and I enjoyed the film. As for Dr Seuss, I would actually enjoy having Biss read the original "Grinch Who Stole Christmas" on stream. His creative use of rhyming, which they incorporated throughout this film, would be a tickling of the ears coming from Biss, and I think she would enjoy it as well. Thanks, Biss, and Merry Christmas to all... 😊

I didn’t know you didn’t like Jim Carrey. I think I stopped watching that ‘Spotless Mind’ movie before it ended, not great. If you see the more classic, I guess I’d call them ‘physical comedies’ of his, like ‘Ace Ventura’ they might be more to your taste. Carey’s career began with such over the top performances that when he tried to go serious later, kind of like Bill Murray, it just didn’t work. You see those faces and you just expect something bizarrely funny to happen. When it doesn’t, you’re disappointed.

Hi Bisscute 😊 from San Antonio Texas USA 😊 Wonderful reaction and analysis and commentary 😊👍 I am so glad that you enjoyed this movie as you are right ajs there is something for children and adults.... Lessons relearned that may have been forgotten. Yes indeed the Spirit of Christmas is wonderfully told by Dr Seuss and this captured your heart as I hoped it would. Another Dr Seuss movie for anytime watching is The Cat in the Hat 2003. As far as the Spirit of Christmas movies... The ones that have been recommended to you... Miracle on 34th Street (1947), Scrooge (1970) to name two. What a wonderful way to start the holiday season with you. Thank you for all your hard work and I appreciate you so very much. Have a great day and God bless you with much love and prayers for strength and good health bye-bye 😊👍💪❤️
