2025-07-19 17:57:37 +0000 UTCI’d never heard of this film before, and I was eager to enjoy it simply because of Robin's presence. Unfortunately, the movie felt like a disjointed mix of intense emotions that never fully came together. The CGI was subpar, and the ending left me feeling disappointed. After enduring so much pain and horror both in life and death, the couple finally reunite with their oddly forever-young children in a dreamlike paradise, only to abandon it for a world filled with sorrow, suffering, experiencing death, loss, and separation again from each other. Sure, we will see our children again in a hundred years; they can wait. The choice felt hollow and unconvincing. It’s also heartbreaking to reflect on Robin in this role, knowing the depression that ultimately led him to take his own life, separating himself from his family and his talent and personality from a world that adored him. RIP.
