This is definitely a nihilistic series, but I am so curious about the theme. I can't figure out if it's nihilistic with aliens, demons, good old serial killer or what... Thanks for watching this with us. If your looking for another great short series, I recommend The Night Manager starring Tom Hiddleston(Loki)and Hugh Laurie

The first is called Happy about a disgraced cop who spends his time drinking and becomes a hit man to support his addictions. He then survives a massive heart attack, then meets Happy. A flying blue unicorn only visible to him. The show is a dark comedy, bizarre and wild at times, but very appealing. 18 episodes in total. The other series I have mentioned before is Chernobyl, no need for me to describe it, just gunna say it's 5 episodes in total. OK TY TY can't wait to see the next episode in True Detective.

For the purpose of reaction videos, I don't think it's worth going beyond the first season. Too big of a commitment. There are plenty of other good series out there to check out. Chernobyl (5 episodes) or Mare of Easttown (7 espisodes) are worth considering for your next reaction series. They're short commitments and both of them are HBO productions. Chernobyl is obviously about the nuclear disaster and Mare of Easttown is another murder mystery/detective series, but it's nothing like True Detective. Both are great!
