Band of Brothers ep 9 full and early

Comments

Without the US rebuilding Germany, those German car brands wouldn't be what they are today. Name a car brand from East Germany. What do Germany, Japan, and South Korea all have in common? The US rebuilding them after a war. If the Soviets controlled all of Germany none of those companies would be where they are today.

John Flack

Important thing to understand about the soldiers you saw executed on the side of the road is that they had refused to surrender. 300,000 of their fellow soldiers had surrendered and they were hiding in that shed instead of joining them. They have declared that they intend to fight to the death. Well, it’s better for us if that’s right now.

Billy Hill

Amazing reaction. I think you should watch something fun with us. Try "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (FUNNY), "HEAT" (ACTION), "The Breakfast Club" (interesting)

Andres Castro

Yes you are right, that is the name of it. I agree it is a must watch and i pray that our beloved Biss will record it if she does watch it.

Well, hard to understand these atrocites that were commited. This is the devastating reality of what is depicted in this episode, it's really hard to imagine what would make anyone go to such lengths and be so cruel. I want to thank Biss and this community for being here and watching along with this series. Not sure what else I can say.

Part 11 is called WE STAND ALONE TOGETHER. Has real Easy Company interviews. A Must Watch...

RJ

The writers had a purpose with this episode. It starts out showing Easy Company Soldiers worried and angry about how the war disrupted their lives and personal issues. Nixon was getting divorced, Okeefe was all excited to get into Berlin, and the others talked about getting back to their lives in the USA. Then they were hit with the reason they were really fighting for and how others were suffering more.

RJ

Yes you are right, that is the ladies man in the beginning. Tom Hardy ( Bane ) This is the most sad episode in the serie, its heartbreaking to see and the memory of these camps was never forgotten by the soldiers. Sorry to hear someone said such a awful thing to you regarding the rumanian, sadly there are a lot of false beliefs regarding the history around World war 2 and like you mentioned earlier this is in one way educational and a way to never forget and never repeat. Tom Hanks and the person actor of Sinks are huge historian of this massive event that took place during the late 30 and early 40s. They also created the serie the pacific and a new serie called Masters of the air. Like an earlier comment above, please do watch the documentary ( Episode 11 ) after part 10.

Yeah, that scene always gets me crying. I watched it so many times, I know what's coming, I know the scenes and still it gets me every time. I think the guy with the black hat was the baker, just before your said it you want to see him, not sure though.

Sven

Hello Maddy, thanks for the few words at the end. Xxx
