You actually are really close to defining PTSD when you were talking about so much going on and no time to grieve, you just have to go to the next thing and stay alive. By not having the time to process it, the memories get put into the fight or flight part of the brain, and what happens is that a sound or a smell, or anything really, can be a trigger to that response.. The PTSD therapy I did takes you through one event and you write down and share the events and then you spend time talking about what you think and are feeling and start learning how to process your experiences in the now. One of the things that helps me is being able to take inventory of my surroundings to realize that I am in a safe environment. I still struggle with it at times, but I have learned how to manage it and be able to function rather normally.

Like Lt Speirs said in episode 3, " war is hell. " The cold they suffered was a truly hell. And you look like a Madeline, Biss. :) The letter he wrote on his forehead was M for morphine, information to the station And i'm glad your father got YOU that knows how to react on movies and got a taste for real music. Ive looked for years for someone to look at Band of Brothers with, in a way we are not alone with you either. We go through this masterpiece together. I share a tear almost every episode because all these characters/people are like brother to me. Ive watched this so many times i can not get enough of it.

2023-06-13 22:39:34 +0000 UTCAnd yes every soldier carries on them a small medical pack with gauze and other medical supplies and 1 doze of morphine for pain. This is done to help supplement the combat medica medical supplies so they don't have to carry so much medical supplies on them. Last thing we medica needed was to get caught up on something because our supplies are to bulky and limits movement. In your reaction of HACKSAW RIDGE you found it unbelievable or hard to believe DOSS had 75 morphine ampules. But with every soldier having at least one on them and all the dead bodies that had ampules on them because they died before they used them the possibility of having a surplus of ampules was high. And we still use that same tactic of having a soldier equipped with small medical packs with morphine when in combat situations.

I'm very curious what you'll say after watching the final episode. about the headband from the nurse: he pulled it out and wanted to put it back when he realized that she could help people even after her death and she would have it no other way

2023-06-13 18:40:15 +0000 UTCDOC ROWE wrote the letter M in blood on lieutenant Welshs forehead to signify and to let other medical personnel know he was given MORPHINE. This is done to prevent wasting valuable morphine in combat situations.
